| The Goddess Mara Fri 7/18/2008 12:27p | Maybe someone will ask Jack why he sold the magazine to people who won't continue it. |

He did confirm that the person who purchased the magazine did so with the intent not to contiue the publication, but rather purchased it for the content, pictures etc. That sparked an idea in my mind who it might be and why, but would rather not say at this time.
Change is difficult, but at least we have a wonderful collection of past issues to read over again and enjoy. |

That is the best news I've heard concerning all of this. I'm missing issues 17-22. Used to own them, but traded them. |

| DlandDug Mon 7/21/2008 10:49a | Chatting with Jack at the E-Ticket table was bittersweet, to say the least. My understanding is that the new owner will be utilizing all content, as well as the name. It does seem certain that it will not continue as a traditional publication, though.
Bear in mind that the Janzen's started this as a labor of love 22 years ago. Over the course of 45 (soon to be 46) issues, Jack and Leon covered just about every aspect of Disneyland's early history. As Jack pointed out on Sunday, too many of the folks who made it all possible are no longer with us to share their insights.
So rather than feel too glum over this transition, I am trying to hold onto good thoughts for all the wonderful things that the E-Ticket magazine has brought about. Not many fans were going out of their way to create something like this back in 1986. So much that has followed can be directly traced to those early issues.
Thanks, Jack (and Leon!). Enjoy some well deserved time off, and don't be a stranger. |

| TinksBestFriend Mon 7/21/2008 1:10p | If you are a subscriber to "The E Ticket" you receive with your next (final) issue a note with the amount of credit you have. You will be able to get a refund for the unused portion of your subscription or use the credit to purchase the new DVD or other "E Ticket" merchandise.
And thank you for the theme park memories! |

While "Goddess Mara" Thinks she could start a new magazine with the same name tomorrow, she is mistaken. The lawsuit that would surely come flying her way would not be a cheap experience--and I gaurantee the entity has way more money to pursue just such a lawsuit than she does.
Someday the new owner will be revealed--and trust me--when you find out who it is, most of you might not be as judgmental as you seem to be now. |

| JiminyCEsq Tue 7/22/2008 3:34p | Unfortunately, I still have no way to advise Jack of my current address for my "last issue" or credit. I did, prior to the recommendation here, send a card to the address of record - a PO box - and it came back as box closed, undeliverable. Anything sent to my old address will not be forwarded due to the length of time that has expired. If anyone would be willing to forward my new address to Jack, I would be willing to separately/privately email my current address to him/her and be most grateful. Thank you! |
