Does anybody know if Disney does the Fairytale Weddings at DLP? What about the other resorts around the world? I saw something about it on the HKDL site but do not see anything on the DPL site. Someone told me the marriage laws are different in France which prevents this from being possible. Any information is appreciated.

Is there something you want to tell us? Sadly it is true. You can get married at every resort except Paris due to the laws.

Why is that; what is the law? My friend got married in Paris, but not at DL.

To marry in France you have to have resided there for at least 40 days.

I would assume there are people who live in France who wouldn't mind getting married at DLP. Sure, it may not get quite as wide of a variety of folks, but I would think they could still make some money (which is what it always boils down to) catering to the locals.

There's some rule about having to also marry at the local City Hall as well I think.

I know this because Eva Longoria married in Paris last year and E! said so!!!

>>There's some rule about having to also marry at the local City Hall as well I think.<<

That is what I heard as well. This seems odd because Paris is thought to be the most romantic city in the world. Seems like if people are vacationing and they impulsively decide to get married they should be able to do it there. Not just at Disney but anywhere.

Thanks for all the info!
