I completely disagree with his view of micechat, and it's incredibly obvious that he does indeed still have a problem with Al. But I stated that, he refuted it, and hopefully that'll be the end of it. I am guilty of tweaking the guy from time to time, though. And I wouldn't be surprised to find that he does the same. Sometimes a good knock-down drag-out can make the day go by faster!
123	jonvn Tue 3/11/2008 8:15a	What it comes down to, Dan, is I really don't want to argue about personal things. I'll argue about Disney and politics and such, but I really detest it when it becomes personal, and I try to back away from that when I see it happening. I'm not very good at that, sometimes, and will just keep at it, but it really is not what I enjoy. Argue about how terrible cartoons are in the parks? OK, that's great, but telling me I'm an idiot? Eh...I don't like that. I can keep up things for a long time, too, I just don't have that long to live. The only thing I have with Al is that I don't care for him, or things he sometimes says. That's unfortunate, but that's how it goes. I don't have an "issue" with him other than that.

The human mind is so susceptible to misinterpretation--especially in forums where you can't hear the tone of voice or see a facial reaction. The situation you have described, Mr. X, is all too common. My sisters and I are sure you weren't trying to wage a war against TDL fan. You just don't seem the type who would do that. At the same time, he may have been going through some personal difficulties that caused him to react in a way that wasn't normal for him. Whatever the case, it makes us sad whenever friendships come to an end. With the world becoming more and more unstable, this is the time everyone should really be pulling together--if at all possible. ORWEN: Hugs to all--just because.
126	davewasbaloo Tue 3/11/2008 8:29a	I do not want to wade in too much to the personal details of bust ups. But what I can say personally is that a while ago we were going through a few challenges at home and I came on the boards as a relief. I was hyper sensitive and definately not myself. thankfully some very kind friends had the conviction to talk to me about it, and it really did help. I try to give those we know the benefit of doubt. And as I have known for years, and was reconfirmed over the last 3 weeks, LP people are generally good people!

How about I tell you guys that Space Mountain's budget redo has received more $$$, and the timetable moved back, due to concern about competing with Harry Potter ... or that DVC is Jay Rasulo's top priority and coming to Lake Tahoe (and likely Spain) in the very near future ... or that Guest Relations at MK has been inundated by complaints due to scheduling weekend PP Parties (not the fun kind either!) but Phil Holmes and Erin Wallace don't care ... or that DL is about to have an E-Ticket greenlighted (no, not Star Tours 2.0, this is in addition to that) or ... wait a sec ... I'd rather not. This way you can all talk about me, I don't have to post and deal with people who can't discuss things rationally and the LP WDW Board can go back to those good old days of 13 posts in a day. Besides, TDLFAN will kill me if he finds out I posted (so don't anyone tell him) and I'll head back into cyber obscurity quite happily. Maybe I can start drinking ... St.Patty's Day is coming up soon and it's never too early. I'll pop back in 4-5 days to see what you kids are talking 'bout! Wanna bet this thread keeps on giving ...
