31	Spirit of 74 Fri 3/7/2008 10:42p	Thanks Trippy and pals ... but see this troll is exactly why you won't see me here. I didn't start this thread. I didn't ask for it. But I appreciate it nonetheless. But you see how positive this thread was in talking about me and my good friend TDLFAN. Clearly, that wasn't what some folks here wanted. So here comes a 'newbie' who just drops in and attacks -- and he isn't fit to kiss my ass. And he just trashes me ... even uses that bad ass word ... naughty, naughty. Now, see if I stayed here and played this thread would go a couple of hundred posts and I'd tell him off and then I'd be called a bully scaring new posters away and likely get a nasty email from a moderator. I've been down this road. My time is way too valuable for it. Thanks again to my buds here. The kindness you expressed does mean something to me. As to Mr. Spock, have a magical night!

As you said, this isn't exactly real life, so there are other things that people have to take care of before they can get around to this. He just said in another thread that he has taken a self-imposed break, but didn't give a reason, and I'm sure that it's none of my business or yours. And this is definately similar to a real life situation. I know that you are new here, so you may not have a sense of the community here, but I definatley know the personalities and backgrounds of a lot of posters here. I can even tell who posted, based soley on the writing style and content without looking at the username, a decent amount of the time. I know that there's still a chance that they will come back eventually, but for now, it looks like that won't be any time particularly soon. From my experiences, nobody had a problem with anything that he ever did, but they may have taken opposing viewpoints on different issues. If we all agreed on everything, that wouldn't make for a very interesting discussion board, now would it?

I don't think I've ever seen a picture linked in a Spirit post, even if it was just some random picture off the internet. Clearly you still have no idea who he is, or what he contributed to our boards. And just because I'm complimenting him doesn't by any means say that I'm brown-nosing. It's one thing when it's uncalled for, but he knows his stuff and can always back himself up (unlike you right now). As for pictures making someone a hero, I agree that it just doesn't happen. However, anybody that can produce pictures and great updates from 4 out of the 5 Disney resorts worldwide within a period of about a week and a half has to get some credit. TDLFAN's updates always gave valuable information about the Disney resorts that are less discussed here, making the community much more complete. Since he visited so many parks so often, he was also able to give amazing insight to a wide variety of topics, which definately set him as one of the experts of most Disney resorts.

Then I think you will be pleasantly surprised by our discussions here. The only thing is that, like all good arguments, it really helps to be well informed. Disney related topics are great to discuss both positives and negatives. But when you start out by diving into a discussion of board members without any idea who they were, that definatley qualifies you as a troll. I would love to have a discussion with you about some things that Disney's doing, since you definately seem capable of holding your own, but the way you are introducing yourself to our community definatley has a certain air of trolliness to it.
