iamsally - I did indeed get quite emotional writing the last part of the trip report. Thank you for sharing your time and family with us. Disneyland is best when shared!

beamerdog, thank you for your kind words. But it is true. I have been on LP for 7 years now, and over the years, our community has become like family.

People laugh when you say some of your best friends have been made ovewr the internet. And yet, in WWII it was not uncommon for women to become penpals with strange GIs, fall in love, get married, and are still together to this day.

Now I am not looking for marriage, I am already extremely happy in that department. But I have made some terrific friends on LP over the years. We have all shared very personal feelings of joy and pain with each other. And the sense of compassion on these boards are overwhelming. When you meet people and find they are evn nicer in person, it's wonderful.

And with Lulu and Dr Frootloop, it was a great chance to see each other again.

Perhaps one day we will have the pleasure of meeting you beamerdog.

Thank you Tinkeroon. You take care of that family of yours! Love and hugs from the Baloos

Hey Catfish, hope we get to see you soon too!

UKFAN - I really hope you like DL. For me, nostalgia does certainly cloud my judgement. All the attractions at DL are better than their WDW counterparts in my view, but DLP versions exceed DL's as well.

Where attractions are unique, they totally rock. The Cast members, the live entertainment, the shows, just pure magic. I am looking forward to catching up with you.

Dave, it's been hard for me to try to find the right words for this. It was pretty easy top joke around as long as your trip report was still a work in progress but when you actually got to the last day I got a little emotional because I just didn't want it to end. It's amazing just how close people get to each other in such a short period of time and I think everyone who met you truly considers you, Sarah and the kids as family. We had such a great time with you and will hold the memories dear for the rest of our lives. I don't think it's any secret that you all hold a special place in our hearts and that Jess managed to steal mine completely. I "stole" all of the pics you posted so that I can relive this time through your eyes. I have my pics (which aren't nearly as good as yours and I'm thinking it's about time for a camera upgrade) but when I look at yours I see more than just the images, I see a little of you too. Tinkeroon and I love you guys and can't wait until we get to see you again.

One last thing, I'm a little jealous! On your last day you had your picture taken with a very special Pocahontas. I won't say her real name but she is a close friend of one of my best friends and I still haven't managed to have my picture taken with her. (xPPx's 2 Pirate Princesses-in-training did too at the last Mickey's Halloween Treat when she was Jasmine)

>>...and were so touched to be included as a part of the clones' traditions.<<

...and we were even more touched that you wanted to spend some one-on-one time with us. As far as our many (and sometimes wacky) clone traditions, you and yours are welcome to join us anytime.

I think I'm going to start a new tradition. I'll gift you with a new Sheriff's badge anytime we're at the park together. Now it's your job to show up and collect ; )

Hi Dave, your trip report is like a great book that I couldn't put down. You made me cry and laugh out loud. You and Sarah and the kids already feel like old friends and God willing and the creek don't rise we will see you again in 2009!
Thanks again for sharing; I loved all the pictures and your sentiments too!

Dave...what a beautiful family you have. I've truly enjoyed reading your trip reports and seeing the pictures of you and your family. Unfortunately, I couldn't attend the Bay Area meet with Kar2oonman due to my kids' schedules at home. Now I really wish I had made other arrangements so that I could have met you guys.

What a wonderful trip you had! It was a pleasure to read it. I was so glad that we got to meet you & your family, even if only for a few minutes. (dh isn't a LP poster & doesn't quite get LP) My girls were so excited to meet your kids, but maybe next time.

I still think it's so funny. What are the chances that we'd be in WDW the same time & a spur of the moment birthday trip for DH in DL at the same time.

I'm SO glad that you were so pleased with DL. I was worried about that, lol, after some of our comments on the board about WDW. ;D

Wonderful report & pictures. I loved it!

Thanks Shiva. This was indeed a very special vacation, and you guys really added to it. Now, if you can ever get to Europe, we will be sure to make that peace offering (though lit up roses are not as easy to come by, we may have to go to DL instead).
