Just an absolutely lovely trip report. Thank you for taking the time to share your memories and pictures with all of us. It was very sweet and touching. If I had to choose one picture as my favorite, it would have to be the one of you eating at Steakhouse 55 with your kids snuggled in your arms. Great shot Sarah!

Thanks. It was cute to see the picture just had to be taken.

Thanks Dabob2, maybe I should post a link in the trip reports section. I put it in here because of the other California and LP community related stuff.

And yep, although I love Epcot and DAK, I will stay away from Florida for a while (though any LPers that have not been I urge to try it at least once).

Now, I am missing DL so much, I might see if we can squeeze in another DLP trip before our passes expire.

Thanks amazedncal2, that photo is one of my favorite memories. They grow up too quickly.

Hey dude, getting through the pics as fast as I can. Wow, it WAS a trip! Got through all the Northern Cali trips (Kar2oonMan lookin good dude, lookin good ;)) and just been through a few days at DLR. Wow, makes me want to go back :(. I haven't stepped on Disney soil since August of last year when I was at DLR and TDR in about a week's time of each other. HAD the chance to go back to HKDL just last month. PASSED!!! Spent a week in the Philippines instead lol. The exact same week you were in California, I was there actually and maybe explains why I completely missed the fact it took place lol.

Anyway, just curious, but after all the theme parks your kids been to, which is their favorite? How about Sarah's? Part of me thinks its DLP simply because they are most famaliar with that one? But maybe WDW because it's so freakin huge lol. But who knows, like you said DLR do have the most charm and magic and honestly I have to agree. Even though I like TDR slightly OVERALL (TDS just kicks too much butt), but in terms of just MK parks, yep DL just has it all, doesn't it?

Lastly, since my weekly 10 minutes of lurking here has now turned into a full blown hour and counting lol, can you direct me to some of your WDW TR? You always alluded to the fact that your last trip there sucked.., well, let's just say sucked ;). Can you link that report as well? Curious to read it now :).

Thanks WD. Yep, the kids have now been to DL, DCA, MK, Epcot, DAK, MGM, WDSP, DLP, Legoland California, Legoland Windsor, Sea World San Diego, 9 zoos, and some regional parks. Ask my son, he loves them all equally.

Personally, I think they like DL the best. It's smaller and has more. They loved DCA! In fact, they probably think Redwood Challenge is the single greatest attraction. But seriously, they love them all. That said their fav attractions can be found in all the MK style parks. Mikey would prefer DL/DLP to MK becuase he likes riding Buzz, Autopia, Star Tours and Tea Cups in close proximity.

Sarah's fav park is DCA (though she is annoyed at the dumbing down).

Overall our fav resort is DL! for all of us.

WDW was not our fav, it's our least fav resort - too big, poor climate, walmart/redneck crowd, dumbed down dining options. So although we love Epcot and DAK, and our eastern LPers, it will be a while before we return.

DLP does suffer from virtually no fireworks, cast/guest/cleanliness issues, and we get a kick out of live entertainment (sorely missing unless rubberhead fuelled).

But the design of DLP and the dining options are good.

As for WDW, well we had fun. But it was not as good as in 2000. Add in bad bus experience, horrible weather, poor maintenance in the MK, we were ok, and had fun. The stinger came that summer. We went to meet Lulu and Dr Frootloop, and we had a far better experience at the Marriott Vacation Club (better than Animal Kingdom Lodge) and DLP and DHS were in better shape all around than the MK and DHS. So that really ticked me off (great DLP was improving, terrible that WDW had fallen so far).
