Shiva - I really do appreciate the time you took, and how quickly you dispatched the discs! Many thanks - I want to do them justice, so I have been awaiting time. I have indulged the kids, letting them decide how we spend our leisure time together since getting home. I wanted to do more with video and pictures (I still need to post sarah on the robocoaster - that's a hoot), and look at these. the kids wanted to play. They won. So hopefully this coming weekend, i can spend more time looking at the footage and pics!

I am glad Daryl is posting now, and indeed we managed to pull Beth out of lurkdom. But 3 is the magic number, and I am greedy ;-) so Rod, if you are reading this, please come on board. We miss you, and it will be a little while until we can return.

So yep, we were already in love with much of the LP community, and meeting face to face just reconfirmed our warm emotions. Thank you guys for living the magic!

Hey Lisa, I have made it a point to tell Sarah (the kids are a little too young), both sides of the California story. Not only is she now aware of the importance the missions played to the colonisation of California by the Spaniards, but she is also aware of the plight of the native americans, particularly the Chumash.

My family are on the roles as being persecuted through the Trail of Tears. although I am a white fish belly, my maternal grandfather was half Cherokee (and half Irish).

Dave,

Here's your chuckle for today. StefiAngel (one of our more shy posters) and I were talking yesterday. She had been looking at the pictures I took in March and (as if I don't already have an identity crisis) says to me. "You should change your name to Baloo's Mini Me", you look *JUST* like a smaller version of him.

Hope you, Sarah and the kids are having a wonderful day!!

Just wanted to say hi Dave. Glad you have enjoyed the videos and photos. I watch them now and then myself just to get a taste of my Happiest Place.
Really wish you were not so far away.

Thanks Ruthie, they are indeed fab. We miss you guys sooooo much. I wish it weren't so expensive to come over. I looked at flights for this Christmas and it was going to run to $9000, so I don't think we'll be doing that! Such a shame.

We miss you, love and hugs, the baloos.

Wow, I came back to this thread looking for the Legoland San Diego pics for someone after they asked seeing our Windsor ones from last week (if anyone is interested in our Windsor and Warwick Castle pics, I can stick a link on LP).

I had to read through and relive the memories. Sadly we are not able to come to the meet this year, though it would have been awesome. But you are all still very close to us all.

Thank you for making that trip 18 months ago, an unforgetable experience.

We think of your visit fondly and often. One of my most memorable Disneyland trips. The saddest thing about you not making it in December is that the whole idea got started with this thread.
We will miss you so.
Say hi to the rest of your darling family for us.

Thanks iamsally. I really wish we could be there, maybe we could be one of the people on the sticks this year. But between economics, poor health in the family that is sucking up time, and issues with the kids' school, sadly we cannot make this one happen.

What a difference 18 months makes? But we will be reading the trip reports. As I said at the time though, and now, that trip was one of the bery best in my life, and it is all down to seeing our friends! I will never forget how I felt when we had to say our goodbyes in the Great Hall of the Grand.

All our Love,
Dave, Sarah, Mikey and Jess
