Well Sandra, you did scare us a little with the video clips of Boise on Black Friday. However, if you guys ever come over, you totally have tour guides and digs.
But that Corn Dog quote was a low blow...

Well, after one's family, there is always another love right?
For me it has always been Disney. And although Sarah also loves Disney, she loves Pandas more. So it is fair that there should be two pilgrimages while in San Diego. given we all love Animals, we could not go to So Cal without a visit to the Zoo.
We had an amazing day as all the animals were really active, and there were lots of babies to see. An amazing day, totally.

Well folks, I now need to get ready for work tomorrow and get ready for bed.
Coming up in my next updates are Legoland Carlsbad, some shopping exploits, and of course the finale, an LP pow wow at DL!

Great pictures. I love the SD Zoo and have not been since 2003 I believe.
I understand Sarah's love of Pandas. I am glad she got her fix.

Great report! I'm still bummed we couldn't make it to the SF meet....next time!
And please let Sarah know I am SO with her on the panda thing!! :) When we were at DL in Dec, since I was the planner....we had a day we took to San Diego just to go to the zoo so I could see the pandas. No baby panda out yet...we missed it's public debut by a week!
Thanks again for sharing, cute family having fun...good times! ;)

Wonderful trip report Dave! Am looking forward to the rest of it. We had such a great time spending time with you, your wonderful family and all the terrific LPers who came out in droves! We, too, got to meet a lot of LPers who we've only spoken to on-line. Such a great turn out and an equally great time had by all who attended. Your pictures are so much fun to look at! You have a good eye. We too often take for granted what we have here and don't realize it until we see it through someone else's eyes.

Thanks for the kind words folks.
iamsally - we had a blast, thank you for including us in your world while we were in the neighbourhood!
catfish - we did often think of you. I think next time either of us head to DL, we need to coordinate diaries!
Stacers - maybe next time. I love Pandas too. Sarah though is the one who is obsessive about them though. To me it's a real e-ticket just to see the look on the woman I love's face when she sees them. To see mom, baby, big sister and daddy panda was fantastic. All tolled, I think we spent about 90 mins with the pandas, queuing and requeuing.

Tinkeroon - thank you for the kind words. Moving 6000 miles as a youngster taught me not to take life for granted. Also, as a young traveller, I always forgot my camera and missed capturing such great memories. My one real regret this trip is I did not get enough pictures of people. AJandHollysmom's family, DLDUG and Stew, Oneyepete, deoggesmom and darkbeer et al.
At least we have great memories!
