I propose that since there will be close to a hundred folks signed up for this shindig, we all send $1 each week to Dave and Sarah. By the time Dec 2009 comes around, LP will have given them the best Christmas present ever....a trip to see their favorite friends with the most NESS in the world. Whadda ya all say?
293	retlawfan Thu 6/12/2008 11:40a	I think the DVC at the Grand is scheduled to open fall of 2009 (subject to change). Maybe just in time. Wouldn't that be nice. Anyone know for sure?
294	DVC_dad Thu 6/12/2008 11:54a	Jumpin Jeezus! $6000 holy cow that's steep! Yeah, Dave, I'll understand if you have to miss that one. Heck who knows, by then we may not be able to go Atlanta to Orange County oursevles. We'll make it happen eventually. :(

296	DVC_dad Thu 6/12/2008 11:58a	Actually if we all started this week, that would be around $7,100, by the time they need to fly. Not too shabby.
297	LuLu Thu 6/12/2008 2:32p	Are you guys saying $1000 a head for RT airfare? I'm trying to figure why that's so much LESS than I paid in Jan. '07 for my trip a year ago - and I had to go thru a consolidator to get that fare! ($1350 per) I certainly understand that you can't just drop everything and fund a trip halfway around the world tho. And school schedules always complicate things!
298	davewasbaloo Thu 6/12/2008 3:03p	London to US is always cheaper than France due to taxes, fees etc. Also you booked quite near your journey. If you book the early seats, you can get killer deals. Our flights in March were $600 each for Sarah and I. Mikey and Jess were $400 each. SO this jump is quite a sticker shock. Then add in how quick the cost of living has gone up. We would love to come, but it looks uncertain at the moment. We will keep watching, but we will need to move soon I think and the market here is nearly as bad as the US now.
