<<Survive and advance. It wasn't pretty, but UCLA is moving on. We find a way to win in the end.>>

Not pretty at all...but i think that dunk at the end made up for it :) what an end to the game!!

This is the first time in NCAA history that all four #1 seeds made it to the final four, right?

Hey, guys!

Everyone's been pretty tight-lipped lately about the tourney!

Don't be fooled by the fact that I'm in the lead (for the moment). I know NOTHING about NCAA basketball. And, if UCLA cashes in on the final game, my ranking will truly reflect my ignorance.

I think all but three of us picked UCLA to win, eh?

So, what do you think about how the tourney has turned out so far? Any big surprises?

I, for one, was really happy to see WVU's run. They are a great team and did a great job. I would have liked to see them face UCLA, but alas!

I wish Villanova had made it a little further, but it was great to see them make it past the first round.

Davidson almost upsetting Kansas was out of the blue for me. However, after watching Curry play, it was quite clear that he is one remarkable athlete.

Of course, having picked North Carolina to win-it-all, I have to say I was enormously pleased to see them utterly annihilate the competition (at least in the first three rounds). Their game with Louisville was awesome! It may turn out to have been a more challenging game than the upcoming fight with Kansas. (Sorry! I think one of you guys picked Kansas to win....)

Obviously, things can always change -- so who knows what will happen.

I'm still feeling really good about my picks of NC and UCLA for the final. How about the rest of you? Any thoughts about the final outcome?

I figure if I manage to pick the right two teams for the final, I'll be pretty happy. The final two are probably so close in skill to each other that it's likely a toss-up who will win. It really should be a best two of three matchup to determine the champion -- but those are the rules. No second chances.

There have been many games so far in which I thought my pick was going to win because they started out well in the beginning only to see them eventually lose! Oh, the agony of seeing that comfortable 12 point lead get picked away by a three-point shooter who just catches on fire, or that insidious "make the basket and get the foul" play for an extra point or two. Ooooh, shivers! Can anyone else relate?

Well, I've hitched my wagon to NC, so go cream 'em 'fellas!

As happy as I am about UCLA, honestly, it hasn't been the best of tournaments. The first two rounds were very good. But the last two just had waaaay too many blowouts and way too few surprises. All four #1s? I'm sure it's great basketball, but it's not great March Madness. It's been about the most boring tournament I can remember, unfortunately.

But all that will be forgotten come Monday when the Bruins cut down the nets.

I'd love to hear tmoney's opinion of what I've said being the true sports guy he is.

Doobie.

Wow. We either haven't been watching the same games, or I'm just too easily impressed. Likely the latter -- since I don't have the sports credentials and the lack of upsets, as you mentioned, speaks for itself. However, Louisville vs NC and Davidson vs Kansas were quite exciting games for me.

Sorry to hear it, Doobie.

All Hail, Schnebs!!!

Wow, UCLA and Carolina wiped out in one evening!

Now I got them steadily depressin', low-down, mind-messin', workin' at the car wash blues.

After the blowouts by UCLA and UNC were conducting during the tournament. I can not believe Kansas vs. Memphis is the finals of the tournament. The tournament, I believe, has not been the most intriguing in a while. As there were definitly a few good games during the first couple rounds, there were predictable blowouts tha werent even worth watching. As for all number ones making it in, it was interesting to see it happen,, but predictable at the same time. I look forward to seeing a long shot (a George Mason last year or Davidson this year) to see if they can battle the big time programs in the Final Four. The basketball fundamentals, and certain games have been enjoyable, especially the games magnet mentioned in his comment... as for the tournament itself, however, I agree with Doobie that the overall effect was not as enjoyable as tournaments in the past

Hmm? Who? What? It's May? Stupid cryogenic chamber...

Thanks for the kudos, magnet, but I have to admit the the only reason I chose KU to go all the way was because I have a good friend who's a KU alum. (blushes)
