This is now being offered as a package with both movies included. Is there anything new about the DVDs? Or is it just a repackaging of the DVDs already available?

And did Goofy get his cigarette back?

C'mon, folks, spill it! Somebody out there must've bought this puppy. The Brazil thing alone is worth the entire purchase price.

I've been putting off buying the 3C DVD, hoping for some kind of special release, but I already have Saludos Amigos.

I've pre-ordered it, just because I never got the original releases and I'm an obsessive twit who has to own all animated features released during Walt's lifetime. I'll post whether it's the unedited version once I get it, but I'm not holding my breath.

My 3 year old daughter recently discovered my copy of the Three Caballeros - she now seems to be constantly asking to watch "The Three HEROS" She really enjoys it.

Just FYI - I got my grubby paws on a copy of this little gem mere moments ago. Goofy's still censored.

Will pontificate further once I get it on the bigger screen at home.

Pontificating further:

Exact same transfers as the previous DVDs. Same grain, same dirt, same flicker, same scratches. Which is not an awful thing. It's not as if they're in bad shape, it's just that there are uncorrected flaws to find if you're looking for them.

If you take as a given that it wasn't worth blowing big bucks on restoration work for these relatively obscure titles, they're really quite nice transfers - sharp, bright, with pleasant colors that don't sear your retinas, damage your TV, or look like flash animation from Qubo. They look like - gasp - films.

And complain though I often do, I must take a moment to thank Disney profusely for never resorting to that bane of all animation on home video, DVNR. (We will, for the sake of this kudo, ignore Schoolhouse Rock.)

The bitrate's lower than the first issues, but picture quality is very close. MPEG encoders have definitely improved!

They've fake-stereo'd the music and effects this time, and not given you the option to listen to it in original mono. I sure wish they'd knock this off. But yet again, it could be a lot worse. They didn't go overboard, and the artifacts aren't distracting.

In short, don't replace your old copies, but if you don't have old copies, by all means go for it. Like I said above, just Aquarela do Brasil by itself is a "gotta see", and worth the cost of the whole enchilada. The whole enchilada ain't bad either. Thumbs mostly up.

PS - OK, the redesigned grinning Tink on the Disney DVD logo kind of creeped me out. When did this happen? Well at least she isn't CGI.

PSS - Sleeping Beauty looks promising. Wish they'd hurry up with the Profile 2 Blu-Ray players. No I don't want a PlayStation.

Thank you, I've been wanting to buy 3Cs on DVD for awhile, but hoped for an anniversary issue. I already have the SA DVD. Now I know there's no reason to buy the new set.
