The PPP was cancelled today, and is already cancelled tomorrow, even during the Peak Easter Break period.

I can't confirm the info, but there have ben many complaints, and some safety issues due to the amount of water that is being used by the parade staff. Not sure if that is the reason for the cancellations, but still, any cancellation during Peak season is something more than just one or two people calling in sick.

I hope that they aren't getting rid of the water, but I will totally understand if they do. It's interesting that the CM's could be getting sick, since my mother always told me not to stay out in the rain, because I would catch a cold. I guess there was some truth to that. I really enjoyed the parade exactly as I saw it last week, and I would hate to see them make any major modifications, since everything worked together so well to create one cohesive vision, more so than any other parade I've seen.

As for getting "siok", I don't think it helped the parks today that UCLA, USC and CSUF all played games in the NCAA March Madness this afternoon/early evening. I can see a bunch of college students getting some "stomach" problems ;)

On the bright side, I don't think I've heard of any of the Ratatouille chefs falling down yet. That seemed to me like it was a recipe for disaster (along with the bouncy guys behind the Incredibles float, but for some reason that seems safer)...

DW and I saw it last night. I was grateful to be wearing a hat and jacket and DW really complained aboout being squirted so much. We were on a bench in front of the bakery railing area.

I felt it was too much when I saw they had CMs using large squeegees to clear the water on the pavement after the last float.

The long stilts had tread that looked as though they could handle it, the shorter bouncy ones caused me some concern

OK, I am getting more info, and it looks like a piece of the Bugs Life float broke off and went into the crowd (part of a swing). Due to the safety issues (there were minor injuries), the parade has been cancelled until they figure out ways to fix the problem.

Instead of all that stupid water, why don't they spray colorful, biodegradeable confetti on people? It would be cooler, and whatever didn't get swept up wouldn't ultimately hurt the environment?

Better yet, let's spray everyone with Pez. Whatever you can catch in your mouth, you get to keep.

...and the rabble, as Lady Tremaine might say, gets to keep the rest.

Darkbeer is Correct.

One of the Pengulums from the bugs unit broke off and landed in the audience. Glass was shatterd everywhere. From what I understand is that no one was seriously injured. Appearently, The performer on the swing heard a loud crack and got off the swing before it fell. Now all the floats in the Parade have to be re-inspected to make sure they are safe. The Parade is now cancelled until further notice.

This Parade has had some many problems, even before it opened to the public. if they had kept block party, none of this would have happend.

That's bad news for the parade. At least the performers that pull double duty with Pixar Play and HSM2 get a break.
