I am disappointed that they haven't followed up the bronze Mickey from the 20th. That was a great memento and it would have been great to have a companion piece for the 25th.

The plush sure is expensive - I know it will be individually numbered but 60k yen?

I was very surprised to hear about the miniatures - TDR typically avoided any sort of collectible these days as there is no market for it. TDR guests usually prefer quantity over quality and want a lot of little souvies rather than one big ticket item. Also considering the size of most of the apartments in the Tokyo Metro Area I'm surprised they have built something like this but I guess it isn't huge. It does seem like a lot of money though - I guess it is like a Bob O piece.

^^ Insane, huh?

Makes the watch at 30k look good value although it looks kinda cheap to me.

I am a little surprised that they don't have an upscale series either this time (or at least not yet). I didn't care for the Mickey Through the Ages stuff they did for the 20th but at least it wasn't feminine and kiddified. The 25th stuff looks very girly and pink. Not my thing. The merch just doesn't look inspiring.

Hopefully there will be more to come.

I'm not much of a merchandise guy myself, although I do love poking into the high end shops (like the art galleries, glass blowing etc...).

The one and only t-shirt I ever wanted, I've never found. I wanted a simple design that said "Tokyo DisneySea, where Adventure and Imagination set sail".

Never found it...the closest I could find was "Adventure, Imagination and (yuck, ugh, puke!) Romance".

I prefer to keep my romance to myself, and not involve any amusement parks unless it's to mac on some hot chick that loves the parks. :p

The miniature "parks" are about a foot long. They're tiny, and designed, I'm sure, to fit into the average Japanese apartment. There is an ordering period beginning in April (when you pay), then they manufacture the number ordered, and you get them in November.

I love some of the merchandise. The retro stuff looks great, especially that button collection with every anniversary logo included. Also, that plush Mickey with the key is adorable...but not for $600...I'll wait for the "regular" version...

The minature park models look wonderful, but also too pricey for me....

I think someone posted a link to a place that was selling individual pieces of the park model as they came out for a couple bucks each. Is this the same thing? It looks pretty cool, and it would have been very neat to colect all the pieces and get to put them together to make the whole resort. I hope they come up with something similar for the US parks, since I would definately be interested in it. The lights just make it that much cooler!

No, not the same thing. The one-at-a-time park is a replica of Disneyland in Anaheim, and the pieces are quite trashy looking (saw them in Maruzen on my last two trips to TDR). Here is a link:
