So I'm confused. Which character was the Mason? King Triton? Or Ursala? My Grandfather was a Mason, so based on that, I would have to say Scuttle.

I think the sacrificial ride would make for an awesome time. I'd be happy to model, provided the knives were made of rubber.

:)

And Dave... if you look at my posts, never did I say that Masons were NOT a group that did good things, or that they were evil. Only that their writings have some very creepy material. That's it. That DOESN'T make Masons evil. Just makes SOME of their writings and more arcane "secrets" suspect.

Thomas Jefferson had slaves. Was he evil?

<Masons were NOT a group that did good things, or that they were evil.>

You claimed they worshipped Lucifer.

<Only that their writings have some very creepy material.>

Except that it's not "their" writings. As I explained before, it's the writing of individuals who happened to be Masons. And most of it is only creepy because people are trying to make it so.

>>><Masons were NOT a group that did good things, or that they were evil.>

You claimed they worshipped Lucifer.<<<

Nope. I claimed that Lucifer is the revealed (in some of their mid-19th century writings) object of their worship. It doesn't mean that current day Masons worship Lucifer. They're just embarrassed, as are you, that this information exists in their history. Kind of like the South with that whole slavery thing.

<Only that their writings have some very creepy material.>

You can keep saying that. Just like Tom can go back on Oprah. It ain't changing the fact that someone gave him a bowl of crazy, and he asked for seconds.

Lots of groups have unfortunate pasts. NONE of them EVER want to admit to it.
Mormons, Masons, Southerners, Germans. Followers of pedophile L. Ron Hubbard. Plenty more.

Nobody EVER wants to admit to their unsavory past, or unsavory elements of their past.

Who wants to celebrate errors of people you are associated with?

Weather family, business, religions, cultures, or anything.

There is a big differencing between denying historical facts and not celebrating them.

<I claimed that Lucifer is the revealed (in some of their mid-19th century writings) object of their worship.>

What you are claiming keeps changing. At one point it was, "I can assure you at the heart of FreeMasonry's oldest writings is the veneration of "Lucifer" - not "Jesus" or "God" - as the ultimate Divine Authority."

You've yet to produce any such writings.

<It doesn't mean that current day Masons worship Lucifer.>

It doesn't mean that any Masons ever worshipped Lucifer.

<You can keep saying that.>

Just as you can keep making claims. The difference is, my statements are true.

Can't speak for others, but Arthur Edward Waite's book(Mysteries of Magic, a completion of Eliphas Levi's writings) came to mind.

Al and Blue Sky have mentioned the following regarding Mermaid:

Building will be early 20th century, Monterey style aquarium

Ride approx 6-7 minutes long

All that is needed is a small back story that takes you from the realistic aquarium you enter to the fantasy world of mermaids.
All times are Pacific Time (US)
