Tony is also probably talking about the diferences between the original design facade to what is being worked on and finalized for DCA.
The original Mermaid attraction that was developed by Tony was designed for fantasyland and had a facade that depicted rockwork and a fanaty style castle very much like the movie.

That would not work in DCA with the direction the theme is going for the pier.

The new facade as many have seen has some fantasy feel to it but with lots of victorian influence. It should fit much better than the original design. Work is still going on in regards to the surrounding area as well as the proposed Ariel's grotto which would adorn one side of the building.

Does that mean they'll close Ariel's grotto in Disneyland? Sounds like it.

Oh GOD if the Grotto is kaput, that means the Cove Bar is doomed. Yeah, I know there is a Beer Garden planned, but a Beer Garden isn't a bar with real live whiskey.

The last 2 posts is how rumors get started in the online world, no basis in fact but people making assumptions and then rolling from there. I think we know who Al Lutz's sources are.

I believe that post 12 is referring to the Ariel meet and greet at Disneyland Park, not the restaurant at DCA.

>> I think we know who Al Lutz's sources are.<<

That makes absoluetly no sense. Al Lutz's "rumors" have turned out to be true almost a hundred percent of the time. He only reports on stuff that is for a fact under consideration by disney.

To say his sources are bad is ignorant and makes it seem like your trying to undercut him out of jealousy or frustration.

meet and greets from one park to another usually have little affect. It would not be unusual to have both meet and greets.

No the cove bar is not doomed. Discussions are to do some work on the restuarant facilities and some discuiions have been made about maybe a new name but not final
