I'm very sincere in that, too, whether people want to believe it or not.

Maybe he really did join the Masons. They do encourage tolerance and courtesy.

IT's ok, Bean. I seem to be able to make the nicest people absolutely crazy sometimes. It's not a big deal. I guess I'm not the most easily gotten along with sometimes.

I would have joined the Masons, but they actually expected me to be part of this club or something. I just wanted some free bricks.

Meanwhile, back to the odd statement by Tony Baxter pondered a few posts back:

"what we were [originally] doing was in a totally themed environment where Little Mermaid would be at home in Fantasyland the way the rest of our rides function there. Whereas this will be over in a park about how things are made"

This quote can only make sense if, for whatever reason, he forgot the question was about Little Mermaid at DCA and was answering as it relates to somewhere else. Disney Studios Paris makes sense here. Originally, the ride was developed for Fantasyland in Paris. And the Studios parks are about "how things [movies] are made". None of us are perfect, maybe Baxter was thinking about Paris, or possibly Orlando. Otherwise, I, too, totally have no idea what he's talking about. Unless the ride is going to be thought of as being in the same "land" as the winery, the bakery and the tortilla factory. And that's totally weird. A Little Mermaid dark ride lobbed onto a bunch of factory tours rather than the seaside resort on the other side of it. I know there isn't always a point to trying too hard to parse one off hand comment. But what the heck did he mean?

not really sure what he meant.

Unless he remembers that the whole area surrounding the golden dreams theater was once suppose to be filled with factory style attractions like the tortilla and bread tour.

For those that are not familiar, the san francisco buildings as well as the large planters next to the amphitheater, The Wharf and the farmers market buildings were all suppose to be sponsored attractions. They were all suppose to serve as an area that showed the diferent offerings of the state.

Of course that never happened since it was dificult to convince enough sponsors (thank god)

The areas center point would had been the golden state park area.

Eventually the golden dreams area would now become part of the Pier

>>>"what we were [originally] doing was in a totally themed environment where Little Mermaid would be at home in Fantasyland the way the rest of our rides function there. Whereas this will be over in a park about how things are made"<<<

If he had a brainfart and meant "Films" instead of "things" then it makes much sense, particularly if you take into consideration that MERMAID will go into one of the Florida parks, and eventually, probably Disneyland Paris or Disney Studios Paris.

and as Bean was (I think) trying to say, if the idea once for MERMAID's location was to put it closer to that Wharf Section, then it would definitely be going in a place that's all about "where things are made" - because that's really all that area is right now.

As for the Masons, sure, they're all about tolerance... when they're not worshipping Lucifer, of course. :)
