I would guess that they will have it normal all year for the first year, and then start in with the holiday decorations next year, as part of the Christmas/New Years season. |

I expect the plan will be to do the same with IASW at some point. But like FerretAfros points out it probarely won't happen this year due to it being the new attraction. But a couple of years down the line it would not suprise me, HKDL needs to offer guest new experiences with a limited budget so this seems like a good choice!

A lot of it just seems to be Christmas lights and Santa hats thrown everywhere, so it will be neat to see how they change things in places that might have more visitors (like the Pacific Island room, which has a pretty dreadful holiday version in DL) to make them more accurate. I'm not really familiar with many Asian winter celebrations, but I would guess they consist of much more than fireworks and ice sculptures. |

WOW!!!!!
Yeah, you're REALLY NOT, are you?!?
Since you'd know that for many Asian countries, December is HARDLY winter! For those below the equator, it is actually SUMMER. For those on or just above it is HARDLY winter. And ice sculptures?!?
I mean..........just WOW!!!!! |

| WorldDisney Wed 4/23/2008 2:28a | That was a little harsh Bob. Not everyone knows that and besides Hong Kong/China, it's considered winter there when Australia/New Zealand has your summer.
And yes, there are a few winter celebrations with ice sculptures. China has one every winter with huge sculptures (but please don't ask me the city or province lol) along with a big celebration in Hokkaido island in Japan that has a famous Ice sculpture every year in December and January. I tried to see it myself back in 2004 when I lived there. Hope that helps. |

Sorry, I didn't mean 'you' specifically lol. |

| WorldDisney Wed 4/23/2008 2:34a | And 95% of Asia is ABOVE the equator, China/Hong Kong WELL above it. Indonesia is really the only major Asian country that's below it and even then, the equator cuts through it, so again, its not a HUGE error in his argument, is it?
And I'm not getting snippy, I just hate it when others get snippy with posters for being wrong, but yet wrong themselves. |

I agree with WorldDisney the coments were harsh. If you have a problem with American's please don't use this thread on Its A Small World to get your point across. The LP Rules state this clearly enough to not go off topic and to not make personal attacks. |

I don't think this was a serious comment about Asian cultures, but a remark about the Asia secion in "It's a Small World Holiday". Basically, they have fireworks and ice sculptures representing an "Asian" holiday celebration. |
