"Im with Dave, if you dont have a park hopper and get into a park to find out 25,000 cheerleaders or 30,000 bandmembers have just arrived, you are stuck"

This is very true!! Good point.

SD, even though you have to tell AAA 45 days prior, I think you can upgrade your tix (to park hoppers) at any park tix office any time within 14 days of 1st use. I tried to call to confirm, but the hold time was too long (great hold music, at least). Call WDW ticketing customer service 407-566-4985 (should be option #2) (warning- they have reduced EST office hrs). Or email wdw.ticket.inquiries@disneyworld.com (I think this email is right, but they say it so quickly)

I hate trying to make park hopping decision too. It's one of those decisions I make but never feel 100% with it being the best decision. My 1st trip as an adult with kids I didn't miss the park hopping one bit (I had the DDP too)- there was so much to see and we had at least a 7-day pass - and with kids and long trips, you are always trying to conserve energy. The 2nd <shorter> trip I did miss it b/c my main secret selfish desire was to ride all the thrill rides (esp non-DLR rides) over and over - but knew I couldn't do that alone with my 5 yr old. However, next trip I'll have my 9 & 11 yr old thrill-seekers, and I know they will want to!

Also, last time I completely avoided EMH parks (since I couldn't hop out). This time I gave one a try. I've never been during an EMH before (not even at DLR). It was pure heaven (though it was 7am).

Good luck!

Nice to know they still offer EMH's to resort guests versus that DL decision to discontinue a perk for their RESORT guests.

Thanks for the info Dlgirler: I have added so many extras onto this trip that I think we will probably not do park hoppers this trip. We will try it and see how it goes. I am going to try EMH a couple of times too.

I have always in the past got hoppers but this was before you had to choose.

Most of the time we didn't use the hoppers. I find the travel time a pain and waste of time.

I think the only time I have ever used the hopper feature is the day we go to AK then we hop to Epcot or MK for the night events. This trip I think we will do DD on AK night.
All times are Pacific Time (US)
