***But I love DL more than the swamps of WDW or the pushy rainy world of parisian beet fields.***

I've noticed you love to slam Florida by referring to it as "the swamps" (first time I read about the beet fields thing though lol).

When I'm at DisneyWorld, I don't ever recall feeling like I was in the middle of a swamp, somehow.

I suppose you could complain about "the smog infested" Disneyland, or the "smelly ports and docks" of Tokyo Disney Resort, or even the "lovely and pristine mountains and bays" of Hong Kong.

Er...well. That'd mean Hong Kong has the best Disneyland, wouldn't it?

And we all know how very, VERY far from the truth THAT is. ;)

BB = Blue Bayou

The Ivy is a posh restaurant in London and Beverly Hills, and Claridges is Gordon Ramsey's signature restaurant. There isn't a "no kids" policy, but believe you we, they are not made welcome, even when behaving.

I find 2.5 hour lunch with wine pairings is great at Disney, a real break in the day.

And I love the World Showcase restaurants. To me they are a key attraction at WDW.

Er...oops.

Um. Dalmatians thrice!

at WDW, I feel like I am in the swamps. The Florida climate (and really the whole south east of Arizona) does not agree with me. It may even have a part of my dislike of WDW.

I love the world showcase restaurants too, don't get me wrong!

As I wrote, I consider Epcot to be a strong second as far as Disney dining, and if it were ONLY about World Showcase Epcot WOULD be number one.

However, they've also got some largely mundane, even bordering on unacceptable, eateries in Future World.

Thus, my "DisneySea by a neck". There's nothing from the ground up at DisneySea that I feel is lacking dining-wise.

I tend to refer to the Orange Groves (Cal), Swamplands (Fla) and Beet fields (DLP) often.

I prefer the climate of the groves to swamps and cold wet beetfields.

**It may even have a part of my dislike of WDW.**

I think that much is certain! ;)

In that case, be careful not to visit Tokyo or Hong Kong in the summertime! Trust me, the humidity is nothing short of the same, in comparison to Florida. And in a way, I think due to the pollution, Tokyo feels even worse!

well the weather is not my only issue with WDW, but certainly is a factor.

I do love DAK and Epcot however. If we could have those 2 with a DL/DLP hybrid and TDL, I think I could be in heaven.

Great stuff reading you two go backwards and forwards.

Regarding the food, I've rarely eaten at table service restuarants, and usually go for counter service only. For selection and quality I would side with TDR for having the best food in counter service. DLR and WDW Counter Service are alright but nothing special. Now the only time I tend to favour Table Service is when it comes to DLRP. The selection and quality in Counter Service is very poor and I will avoid if at all possible. Reason why when I'm at DLRP I tend to favour table Service restuarants, with only the odd foot long hot dog if I'm short on time.
