You guys may like to keep low profile as he's bound to turn up to the park that day. Well once he's finished serving peanuts and soft drinks to pasengers anyway.

Good.
The more Americans see the TDR parks, the more people will hold the US parks to a higher standard and perhaps not put up with lower quality. |

Is this really appropriate?
The poster in question has left. Surely he deserves the right to not be spoken of behind his back. Shame on many of you for continuing some petty behaviour when the person in question decided to remove himself from the conflict and leave you lot alone.
This thread reminds me of the "TDLFAN/Spirit" thread elsewhere, where people are apparently glad they're gone but yet seem to not be able to stop speaking about them. |

Left? Has he? Hadn't noticed.
It was funny anyhow. Very funny. And deserved IMO. |

Also TDLFAN didn't remove himself from the conflict he was the conflict and it always centered around him.
I still have to put up with his trolling over at MiceChat and I havn't personally writen anything on here that I havn't mention to him else where.

I wonder who that might be. :-)
I'm sure his ego is well-served on other sites. |

| schnebs Sun 3/30/2008 5:13p | I'm going to step in and defend the NFFC here, since I happen to be a board member.
Yes, we did ask WDAJ if they could arrange a few extra things for the group that's going, like backstage tours. But did we demand that they provide us anything out of a sense of entitlement? Absolutely not! You could argue as to whether or not what we requested was unreasonable, but we went in figuring that it didn't hurt to ask -the worst they could say was "no".
WDAJ was really generous to offer what they did, and we really appreciate that they provided it, but nobody who organized the event or (I hope) nobody who's participating feels that we somehow deserve what was arranged because of who we are or because they could afford to spend a little money to be part of the event. I'm pretty sure that even if WDAJ had said they couldn't offer us anything, many of the members who are going on this trip would have gone anyway. |

I too hope the weather is better than the 20th. I do however think that it is almost to be expected on big days for TDR.
BTW, does it really seem like it has been 5 years since the 20th???
And if someone wants to pick a time and location for LPers to meet, I'd be glad to make the effort to meet up. |

| NeverlandClub Mon 3/31/2008 8:24a | Schnebs, thanks for stepping in and defending both the NFFC and its members.
Members of the NFFC starting planning this trip over two years ago. We are simply a group of Disney fans who wanted to go and celebrate a huge anniversary of a theme park. The majority of us would still be going even if the WDAJ was not offering anything.
Officially the NFFC did not approach WDAJ until October of 2007 about the possibility of providing anything to our group. Most of us had already booked our trips in January of 2007.
I am a NFFC member (have been for over 17 years) and will be attending the event. I appreciate how generous the WDAJ has been to us. But weither or not they provided anything to us was not a deal breaker on my trip.
Do some of the NFFC members have an attitude? Of course they do. Just like any other group of people. But the majority of NFFC members are great people who enjoy spending time together sharing their love for Disney. Just like LPers who want to put together a meet on that day.

| Bobwelbaum Thu 4/3/2008 11:35a | I've been an NFFC member for over 20 years, and I've never viewed our relationship with the company as an entitlement. Rather, I think it's a relationship that has built up gradually over the years. I've noticed a big change over the past five years or so.
We do a lot to keep the Disney spirit alive, like recognizing Disney "legends" & supporting historical projects... and we supported Roy Disney. I think the company has come to realize that we really do care and it is in their interests to encourage us.
Oh, and I'll be in Tokyo.
