How early will the disney resorts (we are staying at Music) let you check-in? I know normal check-in is 3pm or 4pm, but won't they hold your suitcases for you earlier in the day? We will be staying the first 5 days at fairfeild by US, then going to Music for 3 nights. We want to go to HS the first day and they open at 9am.

They will hold your luggage before check in so you can go to the parks.

We got there at about noon (to music actually) and they checked us in and sent us right to our room. Granted we were there in Sept., and they may not have been one hundred percent full. No matter what, when you get there they will check you in and give you your "key to the world". If they have any room open and clean, they will give it to you right then, no matter what time it is. However, if you have special requests (a certain building, a handicapped room) or if they are very full, they reserve the right to take till the afternoon to get your room ready, but I sincerly doubt they'll take that long. In any case they will hold your luggage in a secure room while you go straight to the parks with your "key to the world". At WDW one card w/a magnatized strip is your room key and your park passport (as well as holding your dining credits if you have the dining plan, or your credit card number if you leave a card number in order to charge stuff to your room).

So, unless you have some tickets from an earlier visit you will HAVE to check in before going to the parks, they will always hold your luggage, and they will probably have a room ready for you, even in the morning.

We used to fly the red eye from CA to WDW which arrived around 5:30a. We'd go straight to our hotel and they were always able to at least check us in and hold our bags, even at that early hour. A couple of times they even had a room ready for us at that early hour - a nice treat.

Doobie.

It is also worth checking in before heading to HS so you can get your free parking there.

<<< still getting used to the HS acronym, "they're going to High School?!". Some day I'll remember it's not MGM anymore.

Have a great trip!

We were there in December and had taken a red eye arriving around 8:30 in the morning. They took our luggage and stored it. They told us to check back contiously throughout the day until 3:00 (I was panicing because we had some reservations for Candlelight processional that night at 4:20 and everyone was tired and needed showers). We must have called 30 times the number that they gave us. We went to Downtown Disney for awhile, but the kids (2,9,11)were so exhausted that no one had much fun. We came back and there was still no room for us. We layed by the pool and slept (no one got much sleep on the airplane). Finally, at 2:00 I went up to the desk (Port Orleans/French Quarter) and begged for a room. The gentleman that helped me said they were full and that "our" room had not been cleaned yet. I asked again if we could get another room and mentioned that I had three kids that had had very little sleep. Then he "found" a room. I wasn't very happy it took that long. Not that it was entirely their fault, as we should have probably never taken that red-eye and expected everything to work out perfectly for a room. I would definatly not plan on getting a room early again, but you can always hope for it. I suppose it's weather the hotel is booked or not, which is what the guy at the desk told me (was that they were at full capacity). This was the first week of December. The rest of the stay was great. Good luck to you!
