I've actually seen somebody lick his own elbow. It was kind of creepy to watch...

Back in the dark ages, people were often buried without actually being dead (gotta love folks who pass out that much!). To remedy the problem, a string was tied around the wrist of each 'corpse', and they were buried. The other end of the rope was tied to a bell, and it would ring if the person woke up, hence the term "saved by the bell"!

"Feodor" and "Fyodor" are the same name in Russian, just transliterated differently.

"Transliteration" is the process of converting a word from one alphabet to another.

Stewardesses" is the longest word typed with only the left hand.

And "lollipop" is the longest word typed with your right hand.

(Bet you tried this out mentally, didn't you?)

No word in the English language rhymes with month, orange, silver, or purple.

"Dreamt" is the only English word that ends in the letters "mt".
