Fri 4/4/2008 11:22a | Things didn't start out so good this morning. The SuperShuttle arrived at 4:45 a.m., 15 minutes early, so I scrambled to finish throwing everything in my carry on. 15 minutes later I got out at than airport. No wallet!!!!!!
Back home, back to the airport, but it was cool (except now I was out $45.00 instead of $15.00) because my flight wasn't due to fly out until 7:15.
At 8:25 I was still on the tarmac. It seems the pilot got sick, and because this flight was leaving from Orange County to fly to the East Coast, they had to wait for a pilot to arrive who didn't already have enough hours in this morning that he was disqualified by FAA rules from flying cross country.
Next, HoJo's has always been the first stop off the shuttle from OC, but wouldn'tcha know that today it was the last of five.
Well, I got here anyway and now I'm resting and unwinding at HoJo's pool.

I put my top back on and now I'm at McDonalds (have to watch my budget today, thanks to that cab fare).
Don't they have a dollar menu here? Oh, I guess not. OK, what won't make me sick. I'll take my chances with a fillet of fish and a chocolate Sunday. Hey, there giving away free iced coffee. Great!

As I arrived here, an ambulance went screaming into the Harbor enterance. I expect a full report from Darkbeer on Tuesday explaining what happened! |
