Topic: Disney Blu-ray Goes 3D

1	sgttibs Fri 4/4/2008 2:35p	For nearly a year, Blu-ray insiders have talked about how most HDTVs are capable of displaying 3D with a simple pair of shutter glasses. Disney will be first to make this a reality, with a new report that the company will put out the Hannah Montana concert on Blu-ray as a 2D/3D combo release. Another first for Disney is that the disc will have 7 channels of uncompressed audio, taking full advantage of the format's audio specs. The concert release date is currently set for August 19. 3	sgttibs Fri 4/4/2008 3:46p	If a bad cover is what kills you, I'm guessing you never want to hear the Underdog Rap. :) Mitsubishi has been showing off shudder glasses, which would make an easy add-on for the PS3. That would be my best guess, since the game player has been the only future-proof Blu-ray player for as long as the format's been around.
