<< I, for one, don't want to see Lincoln pull his ear off. >>

How about an animatronic Vincent Van Gogh, then?

That's really impressive! For some reason, he scares me less than Tom Morrow at Innoventions - he's in the same league as clowns in terms of creepiness, but MPH didn't strike me that way.

I watched the videos three times, once focusing on the eyes, the next the mouth, the next the arms and hands. Very impressive indeed.

This is going to be like "Turtle Talk" in that he can interact with the audience and respond, right? I'm sure that will be interspersed with "standard" stuff like the Midway Mania song (and note he does call it MIDWAY Mania) to give the performer a rest, but that should be cool to see as well.

I like the eyes. They're using a projection system, so they're more fluid.

The pulling off of the ear trick makes me nervous. I keep thinking 'what happens several months from now, and the ear falls to the ground?'

"I keep thinking 'what happens several months from now, and the ear falls to the ground?'"

I've heard that they're currently having troubles with just that. They will be testing and everything will be fine and dandy, and then the computer just decides to mess up, and he drops his ear. He then raises his arms in the air and makes a face that sort of says "I didn't do it!" Then they close the construction walls, and get everything working again, and open it back up. Personally, I think it would be pretty cool to have him call one of the CM's operating the ride over (by name, of course!), and have them give it back, with a pre-planned little routine that they do. Sure, it would stink to be the CM that has to do it several times a day, but it's better than him raising his arms up and trying to get rid of the blame.

"Who is Shiriki Utundo?"

He's the little idol that is used to explain the TOT backstory in TDS, since not many Japanese folks are familiar with the Twilight Zone. From my understanding, it's just a static figure, but he does a nifty disappearing trick (but I don't think it's really anything different than effects you could find in Alien Encounter)

Ya, he doesn't animate very much but he is totally cool. Shiriki is small but leaves a big impression on those who dare to enter Hightower Hotel.
