Ah. Errr. Heh.

I should probably mention that my post 33 was referring more to the IASW portion of the editorials. I forgot where I was for a bit there.

Yeah, I too think it's a little odd to be blasting away at DCA at this late date.

I still don't see what the problem is with bringing up supporting opinions, even if they come from the LA Times. Sounds like a reasonable debate tactic to me.

My favorite dwarf is Grumpy. He had the right idea.

Here is Blue Sky Disney's take on the Editorial...

http://blueskydisney.blogspot....uch.html

>>I don't know if you've seen what the editorial page over at the Los Angeles Times had to say about DCA a couple days ago, but it was blunt and brutal... this is the first time the Times has actually come out and said it this way. Perhaps this kind of criticism will keep the pressure on the Mouse?

One thing is for sure, the next park won't be designed by accountants, marketing salesmen and merchandisers. Instead, it will most likely be created by Imagineers? Imagine that...<<

Be suure to click on the link, they have a nice graphic image to go along with the comments.

Darkbeer, have you gathered all of the mainstream media (and Marty Sklar/Imagineer/Disney Legend) criticism of DCA in a single place on the web? That would be interesting to link to. You seem to have the info at the ready to post here.

I'm not criticizing, you, so don't take it that way, please. I've noticed that you have kept tabs on all of that stuff and I think it is an interesting resource, whether or not someone agrees with the points being made.

As someone who works with the mainstream media as my bread and butter, such a compilation would interest me.

I think most people would agree with this article. Im talking the general public not emotional disney geeks. I certainly agree with every word of the article. DCA really does seem like disney was/is trying to pull a fast one on us.

I refuse to pay for $66 for no immersion, minimal thrills, and attractions I saw 10 years prior at Walt Disney World.

>>This constant posting of opinion and the unspoken attitude of "See! SEE! They agree with me!" is kind of sad.<<

<If you'd prefer to discuss which is your favorite dwarf, there are other boards.>

The topic is not the point.

But the juxtapose the method with that topic, it would be like citing a poll that most Americans chose Dopey as their favorite dwarf, and then crowing "He's my favorite too! See?! See?! I'm right!! And anyone who has a different favorite dwarf is wrong!!"

SFH, I started a thread when MiceChat first opened (now closed) that has a lot of the early media attention to the park...

I don't know that that last sentence was necessarily part of the intent of all the posts, true though it may be. ;-)

Besides, Grumpy is my favorite dwarf, in case you couldn't guess.
