>>Charlton Heston, the Oscar-winning actor who achieved stardom playing larger-than-life figures including Moses, Michelangelo and Andrew Jackson and went on to become an unapologetic gun advocate and darling of conservative causes, has died. He was 84.

Heston died Saturday at his Beverly Hills home, said family spokesman Bill Powers.<<

He was also the voice of the Narrator in "Hercules" and appeared in a Walt Disney World special; I can't remember which, but it was also celebrating the 200th anniversary of...the Constitution I think?

He was great in his sci-fi films as well: Omega Man, Soylent Green and um...uh...what was it...something about apes or monkeys...Monkeys Go Home, I think it was... ;)

A man's man and a true film icon. Rest in Peace sir.

P.S. I was going to post some Youtube clips of his roles but the comments section should an unsurprising lack of class.

Dar, Doobie indicated that it's fine to post links as long as the videos are clean, as long as you also write a warning that folks should be aware that the comments section might contain offensive stuff.

No reason to keep all these videos from being seen, right?
