half a day is really no good at either you need a full day IMO to do them justice.

If i had to do a half day, i would go morning at BB. TL has such a great wave pool, its not funny. So much time to spend there. BB=slides that can be done in around a half day. If it has to be evening though, be prepared for longer waits and cool temps.

Thanks for all the help. There is so much planning to do. This is our first trip to WDW.

Neither.

Aquatica.

With the caveat that I've walked around all of Aquatica but not yet done any of the attractions, I think I'd take Aquatica over Blizzard Beach, but not Typhoon Lagoon. But I'm not a slide person at all.

I love all three parks, Doobie.

Right now, Aquatica is at the top of my list because it is the new park, has some very unique experiences and is quality all around (the food for example is much better than what Disney's water parks serve at a lot less).

I wanted to write a review of the park, but haven't had the time ... but it really impressed me in everyway but two: first its 'signature' attraction -- the slides through the dolphin exhibit -- is by far the worst of the park's offerings; and I was saddened to see loads of grafitti carved in the handrails of the slides literally the same week the park had its media debut.

As for Disney's parks, I was always a huge RC fan, but loved TL and BB. But BB just has way too much concrete, way too much walking ... it isn't a relaxing place. While TL is kinda like the DAK of H2O parks with lush foliage all around and a very peaceful vibe.

You really can't go wrong with any of the three. But I'd go with the new guys on the block right now.

Thanks for your additional thoughts (I completely agree about the food). I hope you do write that review. I'd like to read it.

^^OK, OK, you convinced me ... twist my arm why doncha? ;-)

I'll try and get something indepth (no pun intended) up in the near future.

As an aside, I wonder what Aquatica's great opening buzz/crowds means for the (now) oldest H2O park in O-Town -- Wet and Wild.

You'd think that piece of real estate would really be valuable for another timeshare and/or outlet mall. But it still seems to attract a fair number of people ... many from Europe and South America.

Disney's water parks have a built in audience, but Wet and Wild doesn't have much ... and I haven't been there in about 20 years and it didn't exactly make me want to come back even back then!

We are going to TL in October only doing an half day. We'll go in the morning, we're not that much of wild water park people. So the relaxing park of TL looks nice. My family will hit the big slides, and I'll be down the lazy river.

Well, there are was still 2 big chunks of land that was listed as "future development" on the map of Universal Orlando's future hotel plans on Screamscape. To me it would make sense to eventually move the water park to Universal property at some point.
