FYI:

Rental prices for strollers and Electronic Convenience Vehicles (ECVs) jumped yesterday. Single strollers are up 50 percent from $10 per day to $15 per day, while double strollers are up a whopping 72 percent, from $18 to $31. ECVs are up from $35 to $45, though the deposit is up from $5 to $20. "Length-of-stay" stroller rentals are also up similarly, with singles increasing from $8 to $13 per day and doubles up from $16 to $27. These price hikes seem steep (and they are!), but bear in mind that there has been no increase in these fees for three years.

I'd like to think this would discourage some people from using strollers and ECV when they don't really need them, but at the same time, I feel badly for those that really do. But then again, if you really needed one, you probably would be better off bringing your own.

I know from experience that the problem with bringing your own is having to carry it through your entire trip. In my opinion, the pricing seems too extreme.

If you're talking about bringing a stroller, you could always buy a cheap one for $20-30, carry it on the plane going down, and give it to another family there at the resort when you're done with it.

From my days as a mom to a toddler I can tell you the "umbrella" stroller is the best way to go.

I am glad we are done with strollers. But sometimes I miss having a place to put my drinks, camera bags, etc. I hate carrying things.

Do they still do free strollers for Cast Members? They used to...just checking.

Thanks!!

This is a huge jump! It really is cheaper to go to the local stores and buy a 30-50 dollar umbrella stroller and just give it away when you leave.

We just bought an umbrella stroller at Wal-Mart: $14.95, it was even Winnie the Pooh. However it does not have any storage, no under basket.

What are the weight limits on those?
