| Sport Goofy Tue 4/8/2008 3:05p | I noticed this press release on the wires today:
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/08...l?.v=101
Of note are some films that I was not previously aware had been announced (although I don't follow these things all too closely).
Newt -- a 2011 Pixar film
The Bear and the Bow -- 2012 Pixar Release
King of the Elves -- 2012 Disney Animation Studios release
There's a slew of Tinkerbell movies on the list, too, but not much interest there for me. |

| jdub Tue 4/8/2008 4:04p | Am I the only one who, after seeing the movie & reading the original book lotsa times, thinks Tinkerbell is a little nasty?
(And NOT in a GOOD way?)

| mawnck Tue 4/8/2008 4:19p | You mean the attempted murder of Wendy? The one that I still can't figure out how Wendy survived?
Nobody cares about that. Tink's cute. |

Nasty, like she's mean and unkind...
Or nasty, like promiscuous and gross...

That whole aspect, if present, went completely unexplored. I was going more the murderous, jealous bits, which being cute, to my sensibilities, does nothing to mitigate. |

| Liberty Belle Tue 4/8/2008 5:33p | Ah, yup. I saw Peter Pan for the first time when I was about 14, having seen Tink presented as the cute little "symbol of the magic" and I couldn't believe how horrible she was!
Having said that, she's REALLY cute ... |

| SoThisIsLove Wed 4/9/2008 9:21a | PetesDraggin, I just got as far as the UP overview and I was tearing up. Oh my gosh...this looks like a sensational movie.
<<Pete Doctor called it a “coming of old age story.”>> What a charming comment.
Okay, I'll continue reading now. Pass the Kleenex. |

| christiemarsh88 Wed 4/9/2008 1:11p | Oh, I am super excited for The Bear and the Bow. The scripts for the Prince of Egypt and the Lion King were both sensational, so I have high hopes. Plus, it's gonna have Emma Thompson in it and, as bad as Treasure Planet was, I love it just because of her performance. |
