Mister Potato Head is in both - just at DHS he is in the indoor queue rather than outside like the DCA version. The set-up is slightly different for both due to the space constraints at DCA.
The second you enter the ride vehicle to the second you leave the attractions are identical. |

****The last time two of the "same" rides opened up more or less concurrently--- one in Orlando and one in the LA area(Revenge of the Mummy)---I, too, heard by more than one source that they were just "slightly different" due to the preexisting structures(King Kong and ET); then I rode both and they were VASTLY different experiences.
So after I ride both and if I find them to be very different I will hold you, leemac, accountable.
Just kidding bud-- you have always offered us great infor. Thanks!****

Actually, I really wish that they were different. Replicas are very bad news for those(like you, me and many others) who hit different resorts. Park and attraction identity/individualism are the reasons we visit different resorts.
Clones are for the fiscal and imagineering lazy. |

| Moderation Wed 4/30/2008 7:47p | I just got my 'DisneyInsider' e-blast, with an invitation to passholders to enter the lottery for soft opening slots for the 9th-12th, with Socal passes blacked out on the 11th/12th (socal APs can enter the lotto for those dates, they're just blacked out so need to buy a blackout ticket). Rather conveniently, this is the week that me and the Tuppence are already visiting DL, so I hope that we get win some slots- it really looked like the soft opening will be for lottery winners only |

I only watched a portion (skimmed through about a of toatl 45 sec.) of it...looks cool. The only negative thing being that it appears there is very little in the way of actual set pieces, but that was to be expected. Can't wait to ride at DCA for myself though. |
