Mon 4/21/2008 10:50a | S-n-F, I get VS and I'm ticked when CI can't carry the game. I dispise the VS announcers..they can't pronounce the players' names, and they have no passion for the teams.
Yes, the series is 3-3. Game 7 is on Tuesday...I need to triple check the time, so I don't miss the game again! I have almost $19,000 in fake money to wager on the Boys in Teal (if they win game 7, they will become the MEN in Teal) and I'm going all in. This is it. If they don't win, they're on vacay until September.
WHEN they win, they will play the winner of the Stars/Ducks game....MAN, I don't know who I want to lose more. I can't stand the Stars, but the Ducks are the Hated Ones in Sharks Territory. But the Stars play dirty, but then again, so does the Ducks......
I have a thing against the Texas Teams (Stars, Cowboys) so I'm going to say I hope the Ducks win that series...but if they hurt each other's players along the way so they're out of the second round, I won't cry too many tears. |

Mon 4/21/2008 11:08a | I was happy I was able to watch some of the game last night. It started at 8pm here on the East Coast. Usually they start at 10pm here. UGH!! too late to see and get up at 6:30 for work!
In the east I have to stick with Sid the Kid and the Pens. |

If the Sharks win the Avs play the Dead Wings. If Calgary wins the Avs play Dallas. I hate them both, but this year I think I would rather play the Dead Wings as I feel they may have exhausted themeselves at the tail end of the season to get the stellar record. Dallas seems more solid. We don't want to deal with that. |

I'm anti-Texas also (only natural since hubby is a Sooner), but was rooting for the Stars to win that series. As much as I dislike Texas, I dispise the antics of the Ducks more. They get away with way too many uncalled infractions for my taste and it fuels them to step it up and get away with even dirtier play.

If it works out the way all we want it to tomorrow night, I'll definitely be rooting for your Avs to eliminate the Dead Wings dshyates!

The game is on VS. It's not showing up on my guide yet, but I managed to manually set the DVR to record at 7pm tomorrow night. I'll be home, but I have it set anyway...hopefully, they'll show my girls again! If not, I have a friend who recorded the game and is going to try to record it on DVD for me. |

I too think it is more fun to hate teams from Dallas(OK, maybe dislike in a sportsman like way)!
So, when the Sharks win tonight, I am looking forward to sitting up in section 118 and watching the Sharks beat the Stars.
Funny side note. Do you know how many times the word "star" is in the National Anthem? Do you know what Sharks fans yell when they hear the word "star"?
