| dshyates Thu 5/1/2008 9:40p | Thank God its over. 8-2. Detriot is waiting for the next victim. The Avs had 8 major players out due to injuries during this series. That is a little much to overcome. Particularly when 3 of them are your top 3 goal scorers. |

The way the Wings have been playing, their next opponent is going to have a rough ride of it. I can only hope that if the Sharks can pull this series out and go to Detroit that the Wings have gotten lazy while waiting a week for the Conference Finals to start. :-) |

| sun-n-fun Fri 5/2/2008 5:31a | xPPx - you are so funny!!! I love your scenario!!
I wish I'd remember to turn on the games! With the weather so nice (well a little chilly here lately) I'm out doing whatever - taking the kids to practices, rehearsals, raking the yard etc.... Before I know it one games over and the west coast games comes on here around 10pm. Too late for me. So I comer to work and rely on you all to up date me. Thanks for that!! You're awesome. |

As for the Penguins loss, no big sweat yet. They needed a little 'reality check', I suppose. I'm sure they'll dispatch the Rangers on Sunday at home in the Igloo. Besides, I think the Pens fans would like to see them win it at home anyway!
As for Ghostwood Estate at Kennywood, I'll be checking it out later today!!! I'll post a report about it when I get a chance... |

| dshyates Fri 5/2/2008 9:45a | Well, we will just call it a "rebuilding year'. It is a really young team. With like 4 vets approaching their 40s in the teacher role. I see a lot of talent, but a lack of teamwork and NHL honed experience. There is a lot of talk of Joe Sakic retiring. He's 39 years old, but I can't see him leaving when his experience is so badly needed to train the new guys. And I would hate to see last nights game to be the final career game of such a great player. The Avs will be stronger next year. But from what I'm seeing, year after next will be fantastic. It took the Pens about 3 years to get where they are after they got the new breed including Sid the Kid. The Avs Stasney is close but we will have to see how he develops. |
