Wow. Shut out in the first two games in Detroit. Hopefully once the Pens get back to the Igloo and their home crowd, they'll step it up.

The Pens coach took offense at a media question after the first game when a comment was made about the Pens not having faced adversity yet in the playoffs. Coach disagreed and seemed put off by the question. I have to agree with the media, though. The Pens dispatched the teams in the first three series' rather easily...only losing a couple of games total. Not that any series is an easy ride, but the Pens sure made it look that way.

Pitt is out hitting Detroit, but lacking the shots on goal. Put some pucks on net, boys. What's that Gretzky quote? something to the effect of "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take."

Go Pens!

I think the pens may have come into the series a little over confident.
But the remark about the Pens not seeing much competition through the play-offs, yeah that was pretty much true, but that wasn't the Pens fault. And The Wings had about the same level of competition through the play-offs. They really didn't see anything until they played Dallas (Sorry Avs) in the conference title series. Just like the Pens and Flyers.
That said, the Wings have knocked the Pens off their game. I think being back in the igloo will really help. They really need to win tonights game, and I know they can do it. I love watching the ings get beat.

Go Pens!!!! RED WINGS SUCK!!!!

HALLELUIA!!!! Not only have the Pens finally scored, but they win Game Three!!!!

You would have thought that the Pens won the Stanley Cup here in Pittsburgh tonight! The fans are going absolutely crazy! And can you blame them?? When everyone else thought that Detroit might sweep the series, Lord Sydney scored twice to get the Pens rolling (FINALLY!)!!! Yes, they have a LONG way to go if they want to win the Cup, but, at least they're making a series out of it.

GO PENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to see the Pens step it up. What a great game. I did get a little nervous toward the end.

DS8 even wore his Crosby jersey to school today.

Congrats, brotherdave!

I caught pieces of the game, but was sure to watch the final 5 - 6 minutes. It was a little stressful when the Wings pulled within one late, but the Pens held on (and killed a late penalty to boot).

Go Pens!
