I unofficially collect Disney watches. Ugh not sure how that started but I am up to 5.

I used to collect pins but that got too expensive. For the cost of 6 pins I could get one of the figurines from a collectible line or for that matter a new watch.

I have a few plushies and some pictures. I love the set of lithos that were just purchase with purchase at the parks. I can not wait to frame these to hang on my wall.

I guess for that matter I also collect mugs and any other number of things including Tshirts. I am not super serious about anything. Just whatever gets my attn.

I don't really collect Disney watches, but husband feels the need to buy me one everytime we go, which has been 3 times. But what I like to collected is pressed pennies. Not expensive and they don't take up a lot of room. They are absolutely perfect in my opinion.

There's a difference between collecting and accumulating. I accumulate a lot of varied Disney items, but I collect video lithos, PVC figures, pins, card sets, Panini sticker books, action figures, and anything Great Mouse Detective.

Now, you have to narrow down some of your collections.

I have 1 pin showcasing each animated feature with its title and I'm trying to get 1 for each Disney Afternoon show. My other pins are always of an individual character with as few words, props and background as possible.

So You Wanna Be a Collector...

I collect Disney watches and have about 15 I think. (Why do I always collect the expensive stuff? I have 3 of the original art ones - love them!)

I also collect snow globes - mini and full-sized. I think I have about 40-50 full-sized and maybe 30 minis.

And pressed pennies - finally, a cheap collection that's also easy to carry home to Australia!!

I collect Disneyland and Disney Animated Film related hardcover books. I'm probably up to about 50.

I used to collect carousel horse figurines. Had to stop because i ran out of room. I still have boxes full of them. I would LOVE to have a original antique wooden carousel horse.

I don't care how bad things are, the sound of music coming from a carousel always makes me happy.

I collect Disney postcards. this started because I hate to carry a camera and Disney postcards were better than my photos. I have a few vintage postcards. Soon my original DCA pc's will be vintage!!! Occasionally I while stop whatever I am doing and sit down to look at my albums. it is not an easy collection because all the cards are different sizes. I have not been able to find the perfect postcard album and mine are so overstuffed they are falling apart. I love my collection because some day I will be too old to visit DL and I will be able to visit my collection. Disney used to make pc's during the holidays with the characters in Xmas character. They stopped that. I always look for new postcards. They are easy to travel with on the plane whenever I want to buy a souvenir...

I collect Disney Villains. :)

I have at least one representative for all of the full-length animated Villains, as well as the baddies from Pixar and the television shows (Ducktales, Kim Possible, etc). The only ones that are not in my collection are direct-to-video Villains. I also have Villains from other types of animation, such as Oogie Boogie and Brer Fox & Brer Bear.

The items include action figures, McDonald's Happy Meal toys, books, postcards, shirts, posters, trading cards, pins, tins, stickers, puzzles and other assorted knick-knacks. I'm annoyed that the Mad Hatter is featured on the Disney Villain version of Monopoly that is being released later this month, but I plan on buying it anyway.

I was attempting to clean my collection and realized that I do have a lot of 'little' things that I really didn't need to get, lol.
