In the April 11 podcast Doobie was talking about how he was glad that the Disney Cruise Line shows were separate from the shows found in the parks. Rebekah then corrected him and said that Hong Kong was the exception. I looked online to find out what the Disneyland in Hong Kong got from the DCL ships and couldn't find anything. Could someone please clarify? THANKS!

HKDL is home to the Storybook Theater, which puts on big shows (well, they've only had one so far, but it does seem like they will change it eventually). Their current production is The Golden Mickeys, which was lifted from the cruise line. It's basically an Oscars-type award show, but with a bunch of different Disney movies. They then act out big production numbers from several of them. It's probably the best stage show I've seen in a Disney park (I'd be willing to put it up there with Fantasmic! and Remember in terms of quality), and I would love to see it come to a park that I might get to visit a little more often (and it would fit oh-so-well in the Hyperion in the backlot-Hollywood, duh!-at DCA).

Interesting! Thanks! I have seen that show on a Disney cruise and really liked it! I agree that it is a very good production.
