You do realize that the legislature could have ammended the states constitution to stop the marriages. That they didn't do this seems to prove that the majority of people in that state are not opposed to gay people getting married. Hence, the system works as it's suppossed to.

You were using it in a more conventional/strict/culural context. So I do agree with you afterall. But when I use the term "polygamous" I'm thinking more general. And that is why I feel men, for the most part, are born polygamous meaning that zoologically/biologically/inherently us guys desire multiple partners.
