I bought both of the new books as well.
the Art Festival book is the smallest of the three, so far, but it's interesting. There is a lot of animation art in there that we've seen before, but it's presented nicely. The part I like the most is the attraction art in the middle. There is concept art for several TDR attractions, and a lot of it is stuff I have never seen before. Even for standard attractions like Pirates, Mansion, Small World, etc. they show TDL artwork, which is nice.

The 25th Chronicle book is ok, but is basically a big issue of Disney Fan (appropriate, since it's produced by Kodansha, as well). It does have quite a few photos of the history of the parks though, so that is nice if you want to see pictures of the grand opening, the construction, and many special events since 1983. I would say it's a good companion to the "Dreams" book that came out last month.

I get Disney Fan magazine, buy most of the My Tokyo Disney Resort books, and so on. I can't get enough.

This alone is a good enough reason to buy the book. TDR usually doesn't like to share much in the way of concept art for attractions, so this makes this book very rare and a must have. Thanks gurgitoy2 you have given me a good reason to buy the book.

Mind you, it's not a huge wealth of concept art, but I agree, since there has been so little released, it's nice to have even this small amount. Also, there is a "Monorail Story" section in the back that covers the TDR Line, as well as the DLR and WDW monorails. Oh, and for TDS, they have a section that compares the themed ports to the actual real-world inspirations, which is fun.

My package from amazon.co.jp arrived today with both new books, and the three new CDs.
Haven't listened to the CDs yet, but have looked briefly at the books. The concept art is great, and despite what Lee says about Disney Fan magazine and the My Tokyo Disney Resort books (all of which Kodansha publishes, and which this new 25th Anniversary Chronicle is one), I enjoy them immensely and don't need to read a word of Japanese to do it.
Interestingly, the booklets for all three CDs (new park CD for each park, plus the 25th anniversary 3 CD set) all include substantial booklets with pages of concept art at the back.

This is great to hear, I can't wait to get mine!
