I was looking through my iPod the other day and notice I have full albums by groups or artists that I like but don't care for the genre overall. For example I have some Toby Keith and Big and Rich but don't like country music. I have Outkast and Dr. Dre but overall can't stand rap/hip hop. And in a complete change of pace, I really like Jars of Clay but I wouldn't call myself a fan of the Christian Rock/Pop genre. So what are some of yours?

Oh, this is interesting. I like most music, so this is hard.

I suppose I would go with:

I like the Prodigy, but don't like dance music.

I also like Rage Against the Machine, but I don't like Rap

I wouldn't call Rage rap solely. They seem to be an amalgamation of rap, punk, alternative. I think Rage is awesome, though politically they are way way way out there.

Rage Against the Machine is one of my all-time favorite bands, too, but I can't say that I like any other bands like them.

I also love Alicia Keys but am not a huge fan of most of her music or that genre.

I think most bands can do at least one song that I will like.

The Best of Bread -- one of the guilty pleasures of my high school years. Has some of the most heart wrenching songs of the band's career.

'Make it with You', 'Baby I'm-A Want You', 'It Don't Matter to Me', 'Guitar Man', and of course, the gut-wrenching hit 'If.'

Go ahead and cry unashamedly. It beats England Dan and John Ford Coley's 'It's Sad to Belong to Someone Else [when the right one comes along]'
