| oc_dean Tue 4/15/2008 2:03a | Just for the convenience of having the addresses handy ... Should anyone be interested in writing to Disney regarding the proposed changes to 'it's a small world':
DISNEYLAND Guest Communications 1313 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802
WALT DISNEY STUDIOS 500 S. Buena Vista St. Burbank, CA 91521-9722
WALT DISNEY IMAGINEERING 1401 Flowers Street Glendale, CA 91201
There's a litany of departments for the studio and imagineering .... Perhaps someone would like to chime in .. and suggest the best one.
If Lincoln can be saved following it's 1973 closure (way before the age of the internet) ... who's to say a letter won't be effective?!
And :) ......... why stop there?
The Times and the Register were interested enough to make a story of it ... Why not television news?
All the majors have their websites and contact info for Story Suggestions.
Care to pitch it .. and see if any one of them care to take a bite at the story? You never know.
There's a lot! NBC (Dateline, MSNBC) CBS CNN just to name a few
Depending on their mood and timing .. They do like to fit in all sorts of stories .. large, medium, and small.
Just don't waste your time with ABC and their affiliates. Since Disney owns them.
So .... while I get the feeling a few under-estimate what the general public has to say ... I'd be curious to know.

Don't leave them out. They have no direct connection with the theme parks. And most newsrooms are still very protective of their independence.
In fact, you might get a *better* response from them, especially if they've been infiltrated by a lot of Disney fans. |

| mawnck Tue 4/15/2008 5:26a | ... and (forgot to mention this) the majority of their affiliates are independent businesses and are not owned by Disney. |

Yeah - when you least expect it, some Imagineer might show up to talk about iasw on a radio show about ... architecture?
Naah, too wacky. Forget I said anything. |
