Is that why so many people are so upset for?<<

Exactly, and thus far we do not know

a) Just how updated the song will be
b) What the refreshment entails
c) which characters are being added and how.

it's all rumors and speculations that people are getting worked up over.

pitapan - there are those who think characters will impact the integrity of the attraction. And there are others like me that are fed up of every new attraction disney produces being laden with toons, with IASW being the final straw.

Also, most upgrades lately seem to have dumbed down the attractions:

Subs,
TSI
PotC
Most of the upgrades in WDW
Space Mountain in DLP

However, we know they can still do a good job when we look at HM and Jungle Cruise.

Space Mountain in DLP<<

Dave care to enlighten me on Space Mountain at DLP? I rode it this past November and loved the ride from the soundtrack to the track layout to the effects. Never having ridden V 1.0, what changed?

Oh man William, I think you would have absolutely adored the 1st version. Instead of the queue being enclosed, you could see inside the mountain, and instead of the Super Nova, they had all these blacklight contraptions out of Mouliere movie - 19th century sci fi including the smiling moon.

The rockets were gold and there were exposition banners everywhere (it looked like footage from the Le Visionarium film across the way - Discoveryland used to be AWESOME with Le Visionarium and SM De La Terre au la Lune). The music was a fantastic orchestral score that linked to the track perfectly - imagine something that is a cross between the ET music and Star Wars Music in style, it was breathtaking.

Then the canon loaded higher up and you could see outside as the canon recoiled and you rolled backwords, like a bullet going into the chamber.

You were then fired up into the mountain and the scenes were astroids and victorian machinery. And where the supernova is now, was a smiling moon that winked as you plunged into the second main drop.

While there are bits I like about Mission 2 - the swirling lights at the end, it is a shadow of it's former self.

Anyone received a response from the company regarding their comments?

"While there are bits I like about Mission 2 - the swirling lights at the end, it is a shadow of it's former self."

Yeah, they really ruined what was the best of all the Space Mountains. It's perplexing WHY they did that. It really didn't need any tweaking at all.

Well the track/ trains needed refurb, the one bit they left out! It is still the best SM on the planet, but it is much less than what it once was!

I sent Disney a letter outlining other attractions I would like to see characters added to, Tiki Room, Haunted Mansion, and Jungle Cruise to name a few, and I just got contacted.

You are now looking at Disney's newest lead Imagineer!

Now to get to work on throwing Stitch in the Tiki Room to make it more relevant to today's audiences....
