What is a positive experience for one person isn't necesarily the same positive experience for another. |

Pooh is incredible, Peter Pan is awesome, and...um.
Well, I like those two rides (PLUS Philharmagic in Florida and Hong Kong...that's an incredible 3D movie!).
Plus Haunted Mansion is also in fantasyland, so that's another class 'a' attraction!

| davewasbaloo Fri 4/18/2008 6:14a | You're not Japanese William, it is built for the market where ghosts factor big in local fairy tales. |

| Mr X Fri 4/18/2008 6:18a | Well, Japanese or not, it's placed very badly. VERY badly.
It doesn't fit any more than, well...actually I can't honestly think of a single Disney faux pax as big as this one.
Shoe-horn doesn't begin to explain it.
IF they'd built something new (assuming what Dave is saying is true, I'm not quite sure if it is or just what Disney uses as an excuse), throwing in the Florida building next to Dumbo wouldn't really be the best plan imho.
But anyway, there it is. Shoehorn and all. :p |

| gurgitoy2 Fri 4/18/2008 8:04a | It would have worked much better if they hadn't just copied Florida's facade. Sure, the show inside could have been the same, but a more medieval look to the outside would have done wonders for it's placement in Fantasyland.... |

You must know that Tokyo Dis. Res. has several offerings not found elsewhere, right? And some of the attractions(in ride form) that are thought to be replicas from other parks are actually quite unique in Tokyo like: Splash Mnt. Pooh, BTMRR, Pooh(obviously), ToT and IJ.
I'm not knocking the 25th celebrations---or any celebrations around the Disney globe---but I much prefer seeing good money go to more permanent setups like high end shows and rides. |
