HAUNTS, as far as we're concerned, you are welcome anywhere, anytime. Tinkeroon and I consider you and PB family. You already know that the main reason we visit Anaheim is just to see you, DL is just a perk.

Has PB made out a B-day wish list? We missed her Birthday last year. (I do have pics and video!)

Looks like the only day that will fit into our schedule is Sunday, Dec 7th. Unfortunately that looks like we'll miss half of the people signed up.

AHHHH....I can't take any weekdays off that month because of WDW. Does that Sunday work for anyone?

csgoofygirl: Every year, usually during the first weekend in December, Disneyland holds a Christmas celebration, featuring a choir (each person holding a candle--hence the name Candlelight Processional) and a celebrity narrator reading the story of the birth of Jesus. Last year it was Jane Seymour.

Usually, a lot of LPers congregate in Disneyland during that weekend. Some come for Candlelight. Some come because others are coming. At some point, you reach a critical mass of LPers in the park, and "meets" start happening. Last year, we met at Santa's Reindeer Roundup, then rode It's a Small World, then the group scattered for the afternoon, then a whole lot of us attended the Candlelight celebration in the evening.

^^That was very well-written, and very sweet, alexbook.

<---going to corner to do her best imitation of Prince John with his blankie and thumb...so sad to not be able to be there when you guys reach critical mass.

critical mass of LPers sounds scary, just like the dark rides. :-P

Weekends work best for me too, haunts, but since I don't have an AP I can just go one day so it needs to be LPer maximized. I don't know what day that is.

Thanks alexbook!
So that means I don't have to buy an additional ticket to see the Candlelight Processional? I'm just lucky enough to have chosen the time to be there? Great! I hope to meet some of you! I'll be there Dec 2-6. It's only 110 days away!

No, you don't need a ticket to view the processional. You just need patience to grab a great viewing spot, or, you can book a Candlelight dinner package, which, IMO, is way too expensive just to grab an actual chair for the performance.

What the "critical LP mass" usually does is stand in front of city hall. That is the side that the narrator is on, so it affords us a pretty good view of all that is going on.

If you don't mind standing, you don't have to buy an extra ticket. There's some sort of reserved seating, but I don't know how that works.
