I've been meaning to read it but last year I was on a DC kick. And funny thing is the DC Universe is having yet another Crisis. I mean they've already had a Crisis on Infinite Earths. Two Crisises on Multiple Earths, the JLA had an Identity Crisis. Then there was an Infinite Crisis and this summer I think a Final Crisis.

As for Iron Man I'm not too familiar with the character never really read him, but he always seemed like Marvel's answer to Batman without the angst.

I am seriously about ready to give up on comics altogether because of DC. I've been debating with myself on this for well over a year now, and I think it's getting time to pull the plug on reading monthly comics. I'll wait for the inevitable trade paperbacks.

I don't want to see the words "crisis," "infinite," or "countdown" used in conjunction with DC for a long, long time.

It's gotten all too unwieldy to follow anything.

<<I'll wait for the inevitable trade paperbacks>>

It's what I do.

I don't want to hijack the topic anymore so I'm going to start a comic book thread.

Me too. No complaints. Downey's Tony Stark is a ton of fun to watch. Many nice little moments in addition to the cool effects.

They nailed pretty much everything, and it's lots of fun.

Note: There is a "stinger" - if your in the comic geek thread, you likely want to hang around after the credits. :)

I thought it was very good as well. Maybe a little bit predictable, but still a solid film. I thought Tony's trnsformation from greedy to heroic was well done as well as uplifting.

For those who have seen it (I am overseas and unable to partake), is Samuel Jackson in the movie at all? A yes or no will suffice.

I really liked it. Even more than any of the spidey movies.

Okay here's what I heard according to Box Office Mojo the film has made 38 million that's from the Thursday and Friday showings. It's on pace to make 90 million this weekend. Marvel is going to green light their next two movies most likely Ant-Man and Captain America. There's also a Thor movie in the works which means they're setting up individual films for an Avengers movie.
All times are Pacific Time (US)
