Here it is. Talk about the Marvel or DC Universe. Or do you like some independent title. The Flaming Carrot can also be discussed.

I rarely read Marvel and read mostly DC/Vertigo.

Batman's my main favorite, but I think Birds of Prey is probably the book I most look forward to on a monthly basis. I have a thing for Green Arrow, too. The sad truth is I sort of have a longstanding crush on him. ;-)

I have read a lot of Vertigo's offerings in the past: Sandman, House of Secrets (excellent though short-lived), and others. With Y: The Last Man ended, I don't pick up any of those anymore, but I want to get the Fables trades.

I think the 90s and the early 00s were probably DC's best period as far as the modern age goes. So many good story arcs there. No Man's Land was an EXCELLENT crossover.

I've been a comic geek for about 15 years now. My best friend got me into X-Men when we were in high school, and I followed it up until the late 90's, during the whole Onslaught saga.

I didn't get back into picking the books up again until about 2003-2004. I get quite a few books a month. I get several of the X-Men titles (especially love Peter David's X-Factor), She-Hulk (another good one, but I did like it better in the earlier volumes, when she was acting as a lawyer for superheroes/villains), Fables, Jack of Fables, Grimm Fairy Tales (kind of a an interesting book, but not for the faint of heart), The Incredible Hulk (now The Incredible Hercules, and I'm absolutely loving it. Herc's a heck of a lot of fun).

I do love Batman, and I pick up some of his books once in a while (though I pretty much follow what happens in the DC universe through posts on the Scans Daily group on Livejournal). I'm pretty much a Marvel gal, though.

I like most of the main stream, but please give me Sandman. That to me is the most awesome series ever. Neil Gaiman tocks!

Dave, have you seen the Absolute editions of the Sandman series? They're beautiful.

I haven't read a Spider-Man, Batman, Superman or X-Men storyline in years. Batman and Superman I usually catch in a Justice League story. On a side note check out Justice League:New Frontier both the comic series and dvd that was just released. One storyline I've been following is the Sinestro Corps War in the Green Lantern Saga. Vol One is out in trade paperback. It reads like a giant sci/fi action epic. Something tells me we may never see a Green Lantern film just because the budget would be insane.

I love Fables and can't wait for a new trade paperback to come out. I have to read Y the Last Man since I've heard only good things about it.

I am going to have to start over with Y. It's just not a book that lent itself well to reading issue by issue. It really needs to be read arc by arc. Somewhere about 15-20 issues ago I gave up, intending to revisit the whole series at some point.

I am kind of boycotting DC right now, I just read Batman/Superman/Flash/Green Lattern.

The series that they have going on with Green Lantern right now is great, with the whole Black Lattern build up.

But I am a Marvel fan at heart, right now the X-Books are hitting on all cylinders with the Divided We Stand storyline.

I am not too happy with "Brand New Day" with Spider-Man.

Another guilty pleasure of mine are the New Warriors/The Initiative. I have followed the New Warriors since Dabian Nicieza, so it's great to see them back, just wish Speed-Ball would make a triumphant return...

My reason for boycotting DC for the most part is after the great 52 series, they killed it by tying it into to Crisis on Multiple Earths, give it a freaking break... lol...

Yes, it's gotten beyond unwieldy.
