DAR, the recent issues of Iron Man that have dealt with the Civil War Fallout have been top notch, a very good read.

That's good to know. I'm usually more of a trade paperback guy so I'll wait until they collect these stories.

>>LiBel et al: have any of you read Justice by Alex Ross? It was a 12-issue series that was later put into 3 hardcover volumes.<<

Loved it. Waiting for DC to collect it in one volume, possibly in the Absolute format.

Yeah Alex Ross is quite spectacular. Question is there any artists who's art is a little off puting to you that you would probably skip the the title. For example I never read Preacher because there was something unappealing to me about Glenn Fabry's artwork.

Then you have to check out the Death of Captain America TPB

and another one I have in my room, that chroicles different Marvel heroes coping with Captain America's death, going through all the stages of mourning from denial all the way to acceptance, when I get home I'll check out the title and let you know what it is.

I was looking for Death of Captain America tpb in stores but couldn't locate it anywhere. I'll probably order it online. And I've heard of that other title so I'll be grabbing that one too.

I've never not picked up a book in a series I follow because of the art, but that doesn't mean there are artists whose work I really don't like. One that comes to mind is Kelley Jones and his work on Batman. Paul Pope is another one.

I'm not wild about Fabry either, but skip PREACHER at your own peril. It was a fantastic series. I hope the HBO series gets made...

I gave a stab at Preacher and it never really grabbed me. Now 100 Bullets there was a Vertigo series I loved.

Preacher made me a believer in comic books again. I haven't enjoyed a series like that since the original Dark Knight Returns stuff.
