Should we talk about how bad the sequel to the Dark Knight Returns was?

You know, I completely blocked that out. Thanks for reminding me...

Miller has lost his fastball lately. All Star Batman and Robin is nothing to be proud of either.

Heh...see, it's all a matter of taste. I've tried scores of times to get into 100 Bullets -- I have the first 3-4 trade paperbacks -- and I lose steam after #3. It really does look interesting, though, so maybe I'll give it one more go.

The series is ending pretty soon, I think?

BlueDevilSF, do you take your name from the DC comic of the same name? I remember reading it in the mid 80's, around the Crisis on Infinite Earths series. Blue Devil was a stunt man who got stuck in a sophisticated Devil costume while on a movie shoot, then goes on to be a costumed super hero. I never really got into the comic, but I did like that his 'Rogues Gallery' were the old Flash villains.

Yep! Most of the time people ask if I went to Duke.

BD has gone through a lot of changes, so many that I can't quite say what he is now. I believe he is no longer human but a true demon now, after having been tricked into accepting an offer from Neron (essentially the Devil).

I like the character a lot but I mainly chose the name because my favorite color is blue and I like devils in arts and culture (Hot Stuff is another favorite). I lived in San Francisco at the time I adopted the moniker, so...BlueDevilSF.

Recently, Blue Devil has been a member of "Shadowpact", a team of supernatural heroes.

I've been enjoying the Countdown to Final Crisis. I hope after it, DC can come up with a timeline and multiverse that doesn't require a crisis every few years to explain the latest anomalies.

I never did get any of the Shadowpact stories, but I should check out the trades sometime (if there are any). I like a few of those characters, especially the woefully underappreciated Ragman.

I fear it's too late with me and DC over monthly reading. My head hurts just thinking about it all. I think I'm going to limit my reading to the Bat titles, Birds of Prey, and MAYBE Justice Society/League. Gail Simone's Wonder Woman hasn't really taken off for me yet, so I'm waiting to see how that pans out.

Or maybe it isn't too late. I've been thinking about this for almost two years now and it's been hard to cut the cord. I have, at last count, fifteen long boxes of comics that are in a storage unit, plus many short boxes. I'm trying to decide how best to divest myself of a lot of it.

I've been reading comics for years. My all time favorite was Bone by Jeff Smith. Between DC and Marvel, I enjoy the DC stuff better. I really delved back into comics around "Identity Crisis" and have kept up with most of the major DC storylines since then (I'm still kicking myself for not getting ANY of the Green Lantern books over the last few years). 52 was great, as was the Up, Up and Away storyline OYL in the Superman Books (probably the most successful OYL story). Countdown has been hit and miss, but I'm really looking forward to both Final Crisis and Trinity (see Marvel for my thoughts on Mark Bagley).

I've kept up with Marvel, but haven't been too into their stories. Avengers Disassembled, House of M, Civil War, and World War Hulk just haven't appealed that much to me, but for some reason, I'm really excited about Secret Invasion. I've followed Whedon's Astonishing X-Men and can't wait for the Giant Size issue. Runaways has been great (I can't stand Young Avengers). For me though, Marvels best book has been Ultimate Spider-man. When it first came out, I was one of the naysayers who thought it couldn't be original and didn't really look into it until about a year ago. It's been an extremely fun read as I've poured through the collections. I've also really liked Marvel's adaptation of the Dark Tower novels, and I'm looking forward to their take on Ender's Game.

Outside of the big 2, I've been following Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Invincible, and The Haunted Mansion. If I had the money, Hellboy would be included on this list (heck, so would Green Lantern, Booster Gold and The Metal Men).

My all time favorites include Sandman, Marvels, Kingdom Come, Earth/Universe/Paradise X, Justice (yes, definite Alex Ross trend here), What If . . ., What The!, Peter Porker:Spider-Ham, Dark Knight Returns (...Strikes Back was NOT worth the hype), Star Wars Tales, Groo the Wanderer . . . any other too numerous to mention.

I also check out Wizard to keep an eye on what is going on all around the comic world.
