Wow, amazed, I guess you can color me amazed over this change, too. I'm just really so bummed. It was one of my most favorite places to eat...the view was so lovely and the food was just fine!

Now? I guess I won't have the urge to go anymore and I'm telling you....it's a loss. The Mickey pancakes debacle...what a mess...and the plastic plates/utensils.

As stated before, this must have been a money issue, but for folks like me, we'll be voting with our non-attendance. I'm so very, very sad about this. (it's my version of the iasw thread, I guess) :(

Agreed SoThisIsLove, this is added to my list of annoyances. In the past we would have diner here at least once if not more in a trip. This last trip, the RBT did not see one dime of ours. It's a shame, as it was a family tradition to have breakfast there since before I was born. >:-(

We ate breakfast there in March and enjoyed the food and the great atmosphere of sunshine and views of the ROA and people.

One thing (I kinda indifferent re: the change in china/utensils) that was definitely not good... You get your food BEFORE paying now. The CM at the register was a real Chatty Cathy, so we were waiting longer than we should have after getting our plates. Luckily, the food wasn't cold by the time we sat down, but I can see that becoming a problem if the pace hasn't picked up.

Way back in the ole' days, they used to have Mickey Waffles and you could have them put a slab of vanilla ice-cream on it and then have strawberries over that... it was a yummy breakfast, but then you had to go and buy pop-corn to take the "sweet" out of you're mouth... I was fun watching them make the waffles and pancakes...

Ah, those were the days. I used to love RBT in the 70's especially.

I remember one time, a while back, having breakfast there. It seems the cook was fairly new to the job. He ruined many MM pancakes by pouring the batter on a cold griddle. It was horrible watching him try to figure things out. I did eventually get my cute MM.....

last time I ate there it was summer and as we waited in line. The girl that was making the pancakes was sweating up a storm and watched as the sweat dripped from her nose on to the grill..alot. And I had ordered a river boat so I feed my cakes to the birds which they were happy about.

As for the plastic ware I'm willing to bet it's that biodegradable stuff that looks and feels like plastic.

The biodegradable stuff that will be in plastic bags that takes decades and decades to degrade?

Good news! Mickey at least looks like Mickey again. They just made his "head" smaller so he is more in proportion :) They stop serving breakfast at 11:30 now instead of 11:45. Sitting on the patio eating breakfast was still a great moment. Plastic and all, well the plastic is still really annoying but it was a moment.
