We ate lunch here on Friday, May 2. I can't stress enough how tremendously disappointing it was, from the people who "work" there to the plastic plates and utensils to the absolutely tasteless, generic crappy food.

When we walked in, we each got a tray that was dripping wet from recently being washed (we hoped). There were no dry ones. We selected our Costco plastic utensils (nothing says 21st Century Disneyland dining than a fork missing teeth), then waited our turn while a young man in white chef's outfit with the most blank expression imaginable cut either prime rib, turkey or pork portions for the sandwich or salad (which is the entire menu, by the way). This meat cutter looked like it was the ultimate imposition for him to be performing this task. Moreover, since he continually (heck, all the workers did) use their hands to put the various selections together, your prime rib sandwich comes out with a taste of pork and/or turkey rubbed on it, because that's what they made just before yours.

We each had a drink (skipped the desserts, after watching how lunch was made, there was now ay we were eating anything else) and paid $30.09 for lunch. Not outrageous by Disney standards certainly, but since the overhead has been chopped to a minimum, certainly profitable for them.

We saw several parties walk in and save a table while others in their group went to scout the menu, only to leave due to the sparse selection and lack of variety for kids. If the Disney decision makers had it in them, they should be thoroughly embarrassed by what they've done to this place. Anyone who thought this makeover was a good idea is an idiot, and should be fired.

Am I venting? Oh yeah, I'm venting. Over the top? Maybe only a little, but I've waited two days to post this and my anger and disappointment over this latest violation by force of old time Disney standards hasn't subsided. To put the best face I can on it, Riverbelle Terrace is now a visit not worth repeating.

Editor's note- here are some words I originally had in various places and then removed- putrid, hideous, hurl and disgusting.
