But, with Spielberg working on a "Tintin" movie, and from what I was told this weekend, apparently an "Astro Boy" movie as well, and Stephen Chow working on a "Dragon Ball" movie, I'm thinking at some eventual point, "Speed Buggy" is definitely not out of the question!
15	brotherdave Tue 4/22/2008 5:10p	LOL! The thought of a Speed Buggy live action film!!! They would HAVE to use the late, great Mel Blanc as the voice, though!!! They did it for Dino in the Flintstones movies... I'm still waiting for a live action Jetson's film...If done right, it might just be really cool to see! I love the "retro-60s" future look!!!

20	oc_dean Thu 5/8/2008 1:26a	I saw just about every "Speed Racer" episode ... growing up in the 70s ... So it comes with no surprise that I will see it. What concerns me though ... The guys who did the Matrix films are doing this, and the "feel" may go off in a whole new departure. Sort of like what Nora Ephran did with the movie Bewitched??? God I hope not! I didn't get the sense in the trailers that the film retains the "kitschy" 60s feel of the original cartoon. I have to recite that infamous line being used in the Disney Characters invade IASW topic: I guess I'll just have to WAIT AND SEE.
